Comfortabel verblijf.
Pros:

Mooi uitzicht op de kerk. Heel mooi ingerichte kamer. Aardig personeel.
Prima plek voor start van The Dales Way.

Having stayed at the Black Hat before and enjoyed it. Unfortunately we were so disappointed this time.
We arrived to find the hotel had new owners and there would be no hot food served for breakfast - we should have been notified as we had paid over £150.00 per night. That wasn’t the end of the disappointment, we went out for a lovely meal outside and then arrived back at the hotel to find what i describe as a youth club with a DJ on !! The noise was so bad that we checked out early the next day as we didn’t want to listen to that on the Saturday night !!! I text the number on the key to tell them my disappointment but nobody even responded !!!!. So sad as we used to love staying here so we lost our 2nd night stay that we had paid in advance.

Adequate for one night but didn’t like lack of staff around
Pros:

Didn’t realise breakfast was in the room nicely presented in basket , good there was a fridge and proper milk ,yoghurt and fruit
Found the room very warm , quite a lot of noise from pub and outside
Didn’t know until I checked in that property was unattended during the night found that rather unsettling as a female solo traveller i was not aware of any other guests but there were doors shutting in early hours

Cons:

Please refer to comments above and also no one around when I left about 10 am hadn’t been told what to do with key but found key box when I let myself out

A lovely getaway.
Pros:

The size of the room was really good. We were able to have two single beds and a sofa bed and there was still plenty of room to move around.

Cons:

It was a little noisy at one point as there were rowdy men sitting in the beer garden making lots of noise!!

Great find
Pros:

Lovely hotel. Comfortable bed.
Chosen due to close proximity to Bolton Abbey Station, were 4 of us were attending a murder mystery night.
Breakfast hamper was excellent.. plenty of choice.
Great having a fridge in the room, stocked with fresh milk, orange juice, yogurts and water.
Bathroom first class!
Appreciated the addition of a magnifying mirror!
Would definitely stay again..

Cons:

Bar was pretty rowdy as it was a karaoke night but ended by 11 so not a major problem.

Enjoyed ilkley but would not stay at the black hat again
Pros:

The breakfast basket was not what we expected we thought it was going to be a full cooked breakfast the contents of the basket all sweet things nothing savoury who wants a bar of chocolate or boiled sweets for breakfast

We love Ilkley I visit often as my son lives there but I was with my friend so booked into hotel and the Black Hat was
Pros:

Our twin room was very comfortable and clean. We booked for breakfast but they don’t have a dining room however they left us a lovely hamper with lots of cereals, muffins, breakfast pastries etc also a well stocked fridge with milk, juice etc so we had breakfast in bed and no rushing to get to dining room … excellent!!!!

Cons:

There was no check in desk just the bar but that wasn’t a problem.

A pool with a view nearby!
Pros:

Great location even though over a busy road good glazing kept noise low. Breakfast was unbelievably generous. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped.

Cons:

Not a problem for most but very steep stairs to rooms posed a little difficulty for my mobility issues.
