Our twin room was very comfortable and clean. We booked for breakfast but they don’t have a dining room however they left us a lovely hamper with lots of cereals, muffins, breakfast pastries etc also a well stocked fridge with milk, juice etc so we had breakfast in bed and no rushing to get to dining room … excellent!!!!
There was no check in desk just the bar but that wasn’t a problem.
Rooms are very nice, location is well situated
Business has been recently taken over so there is now no kitchen, so no cooked breakfast, just a basket of basics in the room.
There was a problem with our booking but it was sorted very quickly and efficiently. A lovely room and very friendly staff.
I cannot think of anything.
Location was great to start the Dales way.
Nothing
Great location even though over a busy road good glazing kept noise low. Breakfast was unbelievably generous. Beautifully decorated and very well equipped.
Not a problem for most but very steep stairs to rooms posed a little difficulty for my mobility issues.
Great Bike storage for a group of 6. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Beds comfortable. Lovely view of the church. Quiet. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
It wasn't clear when I booked that breakfast was a hamper. I only found out when I notified them that I have a vegan diet. Despite giving an advanced request, the only non- egg or dairy food was a small bag of dried fruit. I don't consider that to constitute bed and breakfast. Great stay if you don't mind going out to find breakfast in the morning. Weatherspoons kitchen was closed, so we ended up walking to Booths.
Location & very comfortable room
They had stopped offering food
Comfy bed. Good bathroom.
No cooked breakfast provided despite having paid for bed and breakfast. A pathetic breakfast hamper provided in room with cheap, tasteless ultra processed food.
No restaurant or food available in the evening despite having pre booked dinner
No ale in pub.
Busy noisy road
Staff exasperated with new management despite trying their best to please
Very poor value for money given lack of kitchen facilities and
Location
Not as described when booked no restaurant and no cooked breakfast
Great location. The rooms were nicely presented, modern and very clean.
Clean, easy check in and nice goodies in the fridge. Big bathroom.
Not much.
A great unexpected find, this place. Just wanted one night near relatives, and it was well-priced for July. And it's lovely! Not just comfortable but stylish/boutique; immaculately clean, quiet (the downstairs closes at 10); very centrally placed. Very generous (continental) breakfast in room provided. Staff are LOVELY, very obliging.
Street noise - but it goes with being that central.
The room was very nice. It had everything that was needed including a fan/aircon! And it was clean.
The staff member who took me to the room was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is a hamper with lots of choice of cereal, fruit, yoghurt etc.
The room would have been quiet, except for a certain World Cup fixture that night - this wasn't the fault of the pub - however do be aware that this IS a pub and will be showing live sporting events.
I got the fresh milk out of the fridge for my cereal in the morning and it was off - no idea whether it was already like that, or if the fridge wasn't coping with the heat (although it was cold whenever I had opened it) It was early so I couldn't find anyone to ask for a replacement, not a major problem for me though as I had the instant porridge instead.
Excellent location smack in the heart of Ilkley. Conveniently near restaurants, shops, and the start of the Dales Way. Well-appointed room with comfy bed, tea/coffee facilities, and a pleasant en-suite bathroom. During the warm weather, it was nice to have a fan available, and the option to swap the heavy duvet for a lighter sheet made for better sleep than we might otherwise have had.
Staff seemed confused at check-in, almost as if they hadn't anticipated guests. The kitchen is no longer in operation, so there was no option of a cooked breakfast. Although a generously stocked in-room breakfast hamper was provided, we'd have preferred that this be communicated ahead of time. Further confusion on morning of departure, when staff knocked on our door to say our baggage transfer service needed our bags half an hour before the agreed-upon time (which turned out not to be the case), resulting in our hastily packing up.
Central
On main through road and very noisy
Clean rooms, very cosy
Breakfast seems no longer to be as on the pictures. Breakfast basket in room now.
