The Westgate Hotel

Randy at the valet and both Sarah and Joe at the front desk were incredible!! They were accommodating, had top level service, and made our stay perfect from start to finish.

Our stay at The Westgate Hotel in San Diego was absolutely incredible! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how stunning the hotel is—every detail is elegant and literally breathtaking. The staff made our bachelorette trip even more special by surprising us with a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the whole experience feel extra luxurious.

The rooms were beautiful, spotless, and so comfortable, and the entire hotel has a timeless, upscale charm. The service was exceptional from start to finish, and everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and celebrated.

If you're planning a girls' getaway, bachelorette weekend, or just want a gorgeous place to stay in San Diego, I can't recommend The Westgate Hotel enough. It truly exceeded all of our expectations, and we can't wait to come back!

I would like to recognize Sarah C., Receptionist at the Westgate Hotel in San Diego, for providing truly exceptional customer service. From the moment I arrived, Sarah was warm, welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail.

She went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, taking the time to answer questions, provide helpful recommendations, and assist with any requests promptly and courteously. Her positive attitude and genuine commitment to guest satisfaction made a lasting impression.

Sarah stands out as someone who consistently exceeds expectations. She is a tremendous asset to the Westgate Hotel, and her dedication to creating a positive guest experience deserves special recognition. Thank you, Sarah, for making my stay memorable!

The Westgate is an elegant hotel, but it is family friendly. The public areas are so beautiful that you feel like you are in a fancy French hotel. Our room was big and very comfortable. It was beautifully furnished. The staff were all friendly and made us feel like royalty. Frankie brought us room service and was 5 star. The food from Bonne Vie is amazing. Best hotel restaurant we have ever experienced. I could not get over the value and quality that we received at the hotel. We also had amazing service from Perry at Bonne Vie. We used Lyft to get around because there is not too much to do around the hotel, but it was reliable and inexpensive. The only drawback is the constant honking from the nearby trolley or tram. Our room was 85 and it was pretty loud on this side of the building. Also not a very good view, but the view from the pool area is nice. We would definitely stay here again!

The beds, the rooms, the service. Lobby is beautiful as always. This is one of my favorites hotels in San Diego. Sarah at the front desk is one of my reasons I return to The Westgate yearly. Gabriel restaurant server. Good breakfast service “the best”. Never a dull moment with those two. If you haven’t been to the westgate, you’re missing out!

The reception welcome was outstanding. Particularly Joe at the reception desk, was professional and very helpful. We were pleased by the hospitality we received

The location was perfect near other places but not too close to the real busy restaurant row. Breakfast was excellent.

Came in for an extended weekend with my boyfriend for a concert. Overall the hotel was great. Joe checked us in at the front desk and he was awesome. He was able to get us into our room early, explained all the amenities and gave us some fun facts about the history of the hotel. Only downside with the actual hotel is the metro being right outside and due to local laws, they have to honk their horns a lot. We were on the 15th floor and could still hear the metro. It didn't wake us up but it's noticeable. Hotel does provide free ear plugs which was nice. Overall was a lovely stay, location was great and hotel had great amenities

Was just blown away by this fabulous place. Joe checked us in smoothly and explained all the essentisl details of what we needed to know for our stay in a friendly understandable way. We noticed the fabulous interior design and artwork and Joe was a mine of information everything we learned was so interesting. The room was extremely comfortable and spacious we had all we needed and more! Excellent location too. Wish we'd booked for longer stay. Wholly recommended.

This hotel is clean and well maintained. It's not too far from restaurants, bars, and petco park. The staff were amazing! Joe was particularly helpful from parking to telling us about the history of the hotel and taking photographs of us. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The property is absolutely beautiful! It had a lovely ambience with its own bar. The staff are so friendly and welcoming as well.
