Danny Luna and Melissa, front lobby staff were excellent, courteous, professional, and patient.
Even when the pressure was on; the front lobby staff was above the hotel experience !!

I stayed at this hotel recently, and unfortunately my experience was below expectations.

The first thing I noticed was the location. The hotel sits right next to a freeway where multiple roads and an interchange merge near the main entrance, making it feel somewhat unsafe and difficult to access. Overall, it didn’t feel like an area where I would be comfortable walking around, especially at night.

The property itself is showing its age and could really benefit from significant maintenance and renovations. The beds are small, the bathrooms are cramped, and the rooms don’t do much to block outside noise. The windows appear to be single pane, so you can clearly hear traffic all night, to the point where it almost feels like the windows are open.

The restaurant has an appealing menu, but the quality of the food didn’t live up to the descriptions. On the positive side, the Starbucks inside the hotel was excellent and ended up being the highlight of my stay.

Parking was another disappointment. I had read that there was usually plenty of parking available, but that definitely wasn’t the case during the weekend. The parking lot was completely full, and the front desk staff wasn’t very helpful beyond directing guests to park at the nearby Rooms To Go parking lot, which doesn’t appear to have dedicated security.

I also noticed quite a few people walking around the property smoking marijuana, which further affected my overall impression of the area.

Overall, while the hotel has a few positives, such as the Starbucks, the aging facilities, noise, parking issues, and surrounding environment make it difficult for me to recommend staying here.

I stay at the Doubletree a lot for work purpose. Several times I’ve had the pleasure of being served in the restaurant by Asunción. I just wanted to let you know how nice and polite he is whenever he waits on me. He’s just a really nice gentleman and a true asset to your team. Gracias Asunción.

Loved this hotel! Very friendly staff and beautiful environment. The rooms were clean. Rebecca helped us and hooked us up with great vacation package. She was super sweet and helpful! Overall great hotel with a great location. Definitely would recommend you and your family come here to enjoy!

We held our 2026 family reunion at the Hilton Double Tree in San Antonio, Texas. From check in to our check out time, the customer service was wonderful. The most amazing employee was Mariela. It was her first week and I have to say, she nailed it! Her smile, kindness, instructions and clarifications were perfect.

Christian, at the front desk was awesome! At 3 AM this gentleman greeted all of us with kindness & a welcoming attitude.

My company has put us in the same hotel over the years. It has, remained and continues to be a hotel we avoid, for numerous reasons. Filters in rooms are not changed, the AC is sorely lacking. We were sweating sitting in the restaurant. I can only imagine how awful it is to work in that environment. We met in lobby at 3 AM & despite fans going, staff and us were all sweating within minutes. The rooms are literally a soggy situation. 6 floors with ice machines our of order. Avoid, if possible.
