Lovely hotel & breakfast!
Pros:

We recently stayed at The Old New Inn and had such a lovely experience. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The bar and restaurant have that quintessential Cotswold charm, while the bedrooms offer a more modern country feel, which we really loved. Both the bedroom and bathroom were spotless, beautifully finished, and looked brand new.

It was a nice touch to have a kettle, biscuits, and bottled water provided in the room. And the biggest surprise of all… a Dyson fan! We stayed during a 32°C heatwave, so this was an absolute lifesaver. Despite the soaring temperatures outside, our room stayed surprisingly comfortable.

The food and drinks were excellent, and guests receive 10% off their bill, which was a lovely bonus. We couldn’t believe that two glasses of the house red wine came to under £8 – an absolute bargain!

Breakfast was delicious too, with a fantastic self-service selection of cheeses, ham, yoghurt, cereals, and pastries, followed by a menu of freshly cooked hot breakfasts to choose from.

Every member of staff we met was warm, welcoming, and friendly, making us feel at home throughout our stay.

Parking is available for £7 per day and can be arranged directly through the hotel, which we thought was very reasonable. The cost for our bed & breakfast stay was also fair & reasonable!

We had a fantastic stay and will 100% be returning in the future. Highly recommended!

Small room, clean hotel, very steep stairs
Pros:

Location was convenient, but the room was very small. We barely had room for 2 suitcases on the floor. There was a VERY steep and skinny set of stairs to get to the room and it was very difficult to get our suitcases up and down. The hotel and room were clean, the bathroom was very small, and although it was somewhat cool out, it still got warm in the room. They did have a fan for the room.

We loved our short one night stay, and only wish we could have stayed there longer
Pros:

We truly loved our short but sweet stay here. Great location. Clean, comfortable and spacious room. Bathroom spotless. Restaurant/pub very convenient. Outdoor seating too. Friendly staff.
Separate entrance for lodging guests only. Free admission to the miniature village (way cooler than expected). Our favorite was the included breakfast. Pleasantly impressed with the menu options, white tablecloth dining in a beautiful room (not the pub), and a thoughtful cold food buffet table. Our breakfast was delicious.

Cons:

No complaints! Our only snafu- we couldn’t find the switch to turn on the towel warmer- until just before we checked out. The switch was near the floor just outside the bathroom. But that’s on us, as we could have easily asked reception about it. Be advised- no elevator. Not an issue for us.

Super Sunday Roast
Pros:

We had a yummy Sunday lunch of roast beef, a medley of green vegetables along with roast potatoes a huge Yorkshire pudding and super gravy.
We chose to have extra roast potatoes and a side of cauliflower cheese, which was the best that I’ve ever tried.
Our dog even had his own large slice of beef, at a reasonable price. Which went down a treat.
Would definitely recommend that you try it.

Lovely historic hotel
Pros:

The hotel and associated history is beautiful. The breakfast and evening meal was really nice, we were looked after really well, and the food was well presented and delicious. The bedroom was nicely decorated and clean. It was small and so had to navigate around the room. The pillows are really soft and need replacing/alternative pillows which are harder. We stayed on the roadside and with the summer temperature at 30C we had to open the window as there is no AC cooling, but then we got the road traffic noise through the night.

Pros:

Location to the village, we arrived on Sunday, the roast was the best we’ve had in a long time, complements to the chef’s. Breakfast was very good from hot English, with good choices, along side a good cold buffet. Our room was very clean, nice size bed and comfortable.

Cons:

Nothing

Pros:

Breakfast selection was much more than adequate and service was quick. Location was great - right on the edge of the busiest part of the village - so convenient but not too noisy. The staff were great. In particular, Christine was a gem, she saved us a parking spot in the busy car park and was just so friendly in all our interactions.

Cons:

Our room at the top of the building was hot but it was a very warm weekend and a Dyson fan was provided.
