Lovely hotel, comfy with a unique history and location
Pros:

Great location

Cons:

Heating in the room wouldn’t turn off, so very warm (stayed in March so an unexpected warm weather day added to this!)

Pros:

Good size room, good location.

Cons:

Not ideal to have family room on the 2nd floor with no lifts. Couldn't manage 2 young children including baby and our luggage at the same time. Had to have help from family to watch children while we took luggage to the room.

Fire alarm went off early hours, false alarm. Had to settle everyone again.

Enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.
Pros:

I liked the Friendly staff, the clean room, the fantastic king-size bed and the breakfast was one of the tastiest I have had whilst travelling

Cons:

Could serve food, even a bar snack, a little later in the evening, say till 9 pm, for people who are making a long journey to get there. Not much else is open after 8 pm except the Curry House, which, by the way, was excellent
