The location was bad. My truck got broken into and there was no surveillance on property.
The staff were in particular very nice and did a great job. Even the person cleaning our room placed my child’s drawings that were on the floor neatly on her side of the made up bed. The reception and breakfast room staff were also very nice and helpful to us. Just a very good vibe overall. We’ve been a few times now.

We had a good stay. Check-in was easy and stuff friendly. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. A plus is that water and coffee are available around the clock. The gym is open 24/7 and the equipment works perfectly. The free parking was also very good. Unless it's rush hour, you can get to the city center by car within 10 minutes.
The rooms were very clean and the happy hour was awesome! Great friendly bartender.
The location wasn’t great but it is close to the Moody Center.

Had paid for 2 rooms for 5 nights in advance, but were charged again 5 minutes after checking in, went back to reception and they denied charging again even though we had the online bank evidence, eventually spoke to the operations manager who was extremely rude and unhelpful, we never caused a problem or raised our voice ( we are middle aged business owners)but he threatened to put us out of the hotel at 1 in the morning, he only let us stay when I called booking.com directly on the spot who were absolutely fantastic, I also told him I would call the police due to the fraud of charging again and pretending they hadn’t, he became much quieter and said we could indeed stay and that booking .com must have made a mistake ( which they didn’t)….. horrible experience, if you have a problem in this hotel just call booking.com who will sort it out, we had our extra charge refunded in full with zero apologies from the hotel who were indeed at fault

Summary What I needed ! going to the SXSW festival solo.
Clean and affordable is the most important.
BONUS: The daily breakfast was GREAT * the bonus and needed for business conference attendees who have zero time to eat most of the day!
*great but I wish if it went to 10 am daily or needs to be clear as it upset some people.
STAFF made a difference - Renee shout out check out and james night shift made it nice warm and safe coming home odd hours.
Breakfast confusion - just remember it’s 9 am only weekdays.
Bathtub: the place was CLEAN nothing gross but my drain slightly was not draining completely but nothing to complain about.
Hallway morning noise - *this is not in control of the property-
Daily crying baby or singing kid in the hallways 6 am. No disturbance at least after midnight.
I wonder if there can be a family wing somehow. That’s me empathizing too with traveling with a kids.
