The host was great.
There were two "corporate" ladies roaming the property the entire time, basically "haunting" the entire property with a really negative and intrusive presence. We wanted to use one of the parlors, for example, for morning coffee by the fire and one of them was on a video call to corporate with the door shut. We felt like we were intruding on someone's office that was working in our vacation space. SUPER ANNPYING. Corporate folks training local employees should remain in the background. We were not impressed by their presence.

Just a little confusing as to how to control the temperature, but instructions were clear — just had to read them
The house was beautiful. Breakfast was great!
The water pressure was low and the temperature never rose above luke warm.
The bed and linens were comfortable, the pillows were one size and too big for comfort.
The Cliffside Inn is a beautiful, well-appointed inn. We were staying during a blizzard, and the staff went above and beyond expectations to keep us comfortable. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was wonderful. Thank you for the amazing stay!

Un peu excentré
In a bit of a hectic time (holidays and a baby on the way in 3 weeks) the thought of a baby moon celebration might have slipped my mind. Luckily The Cliffside Inn was here to make it look like I had been planning it for the last 8 months! From Bethany welcoming us in with a smile and tour of the beautiful main house to the exceptional amenities the Atlantic Suite offered, the stay was exactly what we needed. The whirlpool tub with fireplace by it's side was without a doubt our favorite feature, but the sunrise over First Beach visible from our window was a close second. As someone who has worked at two of Newport's most renowned hotels, the Chanler and the Castle Hill Inn, I can attest that the Cliffside Inn is on the same level of hospitality experiences as both of those properties. Thank you again, we will back with another addition to our family soon!
