The food and service the restaurant was excellent.
The room was supposed to have a Mountain View which was not as advertised, the garden on the balcony was full of weeds, the feature ‘Onsen’ was in need of refurbishment, the outdoor shower was full of mould!! The staff refused to respond to our complaint so we left a day early - initially they insisted we pay for the missed night but Booking.com negotiated a full refund which we appreciated. The property is also quite remote so would avoid unless you have your own transport.
The staff were warm and welcoming at every step. The dinner selection was complex and elegant with flavors and textures complimenting each course throughout. Views were obviously incredible being on the side of the mountain looking across to golf courses and steep crater walls. Our private onsen room had a large onsen for the 2 of us and the water felt spiritual and healing. Quiet, peaceful, comfortable stay near everything in Hakone. I would 100% come back again.
Food was amazing. They were accommodating to our dietary preferences. Rooms were cozy and enjoyed our private onsen.
Location was a bit far but not too difficult by transit, just lots of transfers. They do offer shuttle services at request!

Tout était super ! L'hôtel est très calme, la chambre vraiment géniale avec une literie très confortable et le onsen privatif sur la terrasse est un vrai plus, idéal pour un séjour romantique. Le personnel était hyper bienveillant, un grand merci à eux pour avoir rendu ce séjour merveilleux. Le repas quant à lui était exceptionnel, le chef a même eu la gentillesse de s'adapter à une allergie alimentaire conséquente et tout était délicieux. Le petit déjeuner, tout aussi génial, était bien copieux. Il est également facile et rapide de rejoindre le Lac Ashi depuis l'hôtel.
Property is very clean and beautiful grounds.
It’s a little far (with luggage) from the bus stop to walk. You can arrange for shuttle service we just had an unpredictable schedule.

Our experience from check-in to check-out was exceptional. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. The included breakfast was a highlight—expertly prepared by the chef and absolutely delicious. Additionally, our room was spacious, impeccably clean, and provided the perfect level of comfort.

Staff are very friendly and can speak fine English. French-style cuisine is well prepared. Property is clean and has easy access to public transportation. Facilities are new and clean.
There’s no convenience store nearby. The room is a bit small, we found it a bit challenging to place two small luggages.
Extremely helpful and polite and courteous staff. Gorgeous views over the wooded valley and only 10 minutes walk from nearest bus stop with buses 4 to 5 times an hour. Really delicious French cuisine with Japanese accents. Very spacious apartment and wonderful hot spring onsen with tree canopy view to enjoy. Highly recommended
