I like the location of the property.

Cons:

Staff is somewhat rude, wasn’t greeted with a smile and was kinda just an awkward check in…my room was also dirty, there was fruit snacks and leafs (tree) by the recliner… not to mention the bathroom sink didn’t look clean either, as much as I wanted to complain and ask to switch rooms, staff was just not friendly and didn’t think they would understand or be polite about the request of changing rooms.

Cons:

It was very outdated. The air conditioner did not work very well. It was not clean. The chair was disgusting. Had crackers on the ground from the previous person. Bathroom was OK. Very outdated. The breakfast was good very outdated will never stay there again. Until it gets updated.

I felt bad for the supervisor at the counter.
Pros:

It was a busy weekend and their system went down. They didn’t know which room was cleaned and which one was available. They were also overbooked. We stayed at a Hampton Inn across the street.

It was okay.
Pros:

Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and comfortable. Water was not good for showers, cold showers in morning, couple at night. No shower curtain, had to ask twice and then had to get ourselves at front desk. Staff didn't tell us anything about what was offered at hotel. Figured it out on our own. Was weird while swimming at night hardly any lights on in pool, very scary.

Cold showers.

Would never recommend this hotel.
Cons:

We had to move rooms three times. Cell service was bad and tvs didn’t work in two of the rooms. Our first room would not lock at all and we didn’t know until we had left for the day for activities. We were lucky our things weren’t stolen. Children ran up on down hallways at night and room next to us was loud. Breakfast was ok but hot foods were cold.

I’m disappointed to see the decay and we won’t be returning at our next visit to Colorado Springs.

We love the pool and the family sitting room by the fireplace.

Cons:

I have been going to the Academy Hotel since 2015. I have seen the slow deterioration of the facility. The carpet in my room was extremely stained, while my parents’ room had linoleum. Our shower sprayed water over the top of the shower curtain all over the floor so we messed with it and at least got it to not spray out of the shower. The couches in the family room were filthy and dirty dishes were everywhere. One of our favorite things about previous days was the free omelette bar and that was not an option this time. That was quite disappointing and I don’t think we’ll be staying again.

Too many awful things for one line!
Pros:

Location was great, it's close to where our son lives so that's nice.

Cons:

Front staff couldn't answer basic questions like, where's our room and what's the easiest way to access it? They also couldn't tell us why our TV wasn't working (it uses streaming services and was on the wrong input so a simple fix but one I never considered. It took until our second day to get someone to our room to fix the issue but it seems to me that when I called the front desk 3 times about it, they should have been able to direct me by phone to check the input). Also, bathroom was dirty with mold and the sink leaked badly so every time it was turned on, it got everything on the counter wet. Sheets had blood stains on them.... Yuck! And last, the free breakfast... What a disaster! They were out of waffle mix, and once it was refilled, they were out of syrup! Waited 10 minutes just to get a cup of coffee and forget about getting any meat from the buffet. What may have been the worst were the kids from the swimming pool coming through on the second day and grabbing food from the buffet with their hands... Disgusting!

We had a nice visit with our cadet, but with the ongoing deterioration of the facility, we probably won’t book here agai

The convenience to the Air Force Academy, Walmart, gas station, eating out, and shopping was very nice.

Cons:

It seemed a bit rundown. It needs some updating. Our room had hard floor and had a very strange smell to it.

I wouldn't stay here again.
Pros:

walking in

Cons:

The rooms were dirty, we looked at three rooms and they were not cleaned. the counters were sticky and just gross. there was hair in the bed, pee on the toilet, it was just not a very clean place to stay. we stayed one night, we were supposed to stay three, but we decided to leave early, due the cleanliness of the place.
