Leider sieht alles nur aus der Ferne gut aus. Von Nahem betrachtet fallen doch einige Mängel auf.
Ja, das Hotel ist alt, könnte aber auch mal wieder etwas Renovation in den Zimmern vertragen.
Leider habe ich auf etwas im Zimmer allergisch reagiert. Vermutlich zu viel Staub im Teppich.

Some aspects of the stay were disappointing. The bath towels and robes felt quite stiff and uncomfortable, which was surprising for a hotel of this caliber. Upon check-in, we were informed that breakfast was fully booked for the next day. Even during a long weekend with higher occupancy, breakfast hours were not extended to accommodate more guests, which was frustrating, as the breakfast is one of Fairmont’s highlights.
Another major inconvenience involved the car charging service included in the valet parking fee (CAD $60). We requested our car to be charged the night before departure, but it only started charging in the morning and would have been fully charged by 7 PM—well after we needed to leave for Toronto at noon. When we spoke to the manager, the response was simply, “I’m sorry, but there is nothing we can do from our side,” which felt dismissive. At least, the wallet fee was waived.

Vu que nous étions dans la periode de pack, nous n’avons pas pu prendre notre petit déjeuner dans le restaurant, il fallait une réservation avant alors nous étions obligés de sortir à l’extérieur pour prendre notre brunch, mais les employés nous ont montré un super bon café français, je l’ai adoré

When I booked the Deluxe King Room noted with a complementary upgrade on booking, I made a note/request in booking to the hotel, along with my arrival time, that I have a strong preference for a room with a bathtub, as I'm travelling with a small child. On the pictures of the room, I see a bathtub, so I was expecting that they will make a note of this, and offer me the room with the bathtub. When I arrived, they gave me a room on the fifth floor that was very nice, but it had a standing shower only, no bathtub. That meant I needed to get back down to request a room change. They handled that quickly, with the manager offering keys to another room on a lower floor, this one with a bathtub, but I couldn't help to shake the feeling that it was in all other ways a significantly inferior room, with a small window only, no comparison to the beautiful windows and view of that first room. In this other room, there was also an issue with one of the lamps and the heating that were resolved after a phone call, and the bed was positioned right above a smoke detector light that was blinking in our eyes all night long. It was OK, but the reality of it is that I the hotel failed to track/receive my note about the bathtub, and then they gave me the left-over room that they did have with a bathtub.
