Cons:

Schlechtes Preisleistungsverhältniss, sehr kleine Zimmer. Zimmer wurde bis 17.00 Uhr nicht gereinigt, dann nur Handtücher gewechselt. Kaffeemaschine außer Funktion, Matratze weich und durchgelegen.

The staff were lovely. The architecture magnificent and the location wonderful.

Cons:

Awful ‘view’ of waterproofing and broken red cobbles. They did allow us to change but meant 4 of us sleeping in one bed. Very disappointing. Adult robes were in such poor condition, pool was cold (reported old system and not effective at heating). Also no slippers, welcome pack… just felt altogether very very basic.

A true best in-class hotel with competent management and staff
Pros:

This is a wonderful hotel with comfortable beds and an incredible location. The pool is a real gem too, historic and wonderful. The staff are friendly and competent. This was my second time staying at this hotel, and I will be sure to come back for more! Thank you to the hotel management and staff.

Cons:

The measure of an excellent hotel is not that everything must always be perfect, but that when there are issues, they are resolved quickly and well, and that is the Chateau Laurier experience that we had. There was an issue with the room that we had initially, some housekeeping oversights and excessive noise from the room next door due to a party of some sort. The hotel staff was outstanding in resolving these issues, with the manager ultimately offering to move us to a quieter room that was also a nicer room overall, which made the move easy to accept. It's not particularly fun to have to change rooms, so the fact that we were able to change to a nicer room makes the whole experience excellent overall.

Wonderful hotel located in the center of Ottawa downtown, tastefully decorated and the staff was lovely.
Pros:

A beautiful hotel with lots of history. The location is right in the downtown Ottawa core, walkable to many attractions and activities. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating.
