Artetxe Hotel excellent location
Pros:

Excellent location, free parking, restaurant with fine dining 5mins by car, funiculaire nearby providing great access to Bilboa city centre and Guggenheim museum.
Very warm welcome from Habby and Marine on reception who gave who were very generous with local information.
Room was very comfortable with panoramic views of Bilboa.

Stunning City to visit
Pros:

The staff was very welcoming and informative giving us really good info about where to visit in Bilbao. Rooms was satisfactory the breakfast was out of this world. Highly recommend.

Cons:

Bar opposite closed at 8pm , so stay out in Bilbao a bit longer.

De ligging,Mogelijkheid rijden op 3a4 minuten naar zg kabeltreintje 5 min.naar centrum Bilbao.Ontbijt uitgebreid en lekker,gaat wel in shifts,maar tijd genoeg om te ontbijten.

Ein sehr besonderer Standort mit Blick auf Bilbao
Pros:

Ungewöhnlicher Ort für einen Städtetrip. In der Natur mit traumhafter Lage, Liegewiese, Blick auf Bilbao … tolles Frühstück, sehr originell und immer frisch zubereitet, richtige Tapas, Joghurt, sehr gute Qualität. Service war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir wollten Ruhe im Städtetrubel und das war schön. Wir waren ohne Auto unterwegs. Einmal in der Stunde fährt ein Bus runter und man ist in der Altstadt - oder man geht 20 Minuten zu Fuß zur Metro, 35 Minuten zum Guggenheim - Berg ab. Berg auf ist es steil und schon ziemlich sportlich - mit Gepäck haben wir uns lieber ein Taxi genommen (10-15€)

Cons:

Wenn es oben noch die Möglichkeit geben würde abends zu essen, wäre es perfekt. Wir sind einmal zum Restaurant an der Zahnradbahn gelaufen - lecker aber auch circa 3 Kilometer one way, um die Tapas wieder abzutrainieren ;) ansonsten gibt es im Hotel noch einen Kühlschrank mit Getränken und Sandwiches

An excellent choice
Pros:

Very well appointed hotel, a little way out of the city centre but easily accessible by bus & taxi (I don't recommend walking back up the hill!)
The reception staff were brilliant, multilingual and very welcoming!
The rooms are spotless.
