Avoid the all inclusive package this hotel offers. The worst food I have ever experienced in all my years of holidays around the world. The same very limited dishes are served for lunch and dinner. 12 dishes and 4 desserts you can plan your whole holiday around as you know the same ones will be on the next day. Only one restaurant is open. The pizza is rationed to one slice per person unless you want to make countless trips. The unlimited so called snacks during the day are limited to 2 hours in the day and are a limited to one tray of stale sandwiches, fruit and cake. If you are a foodie, then definitely avoid the all inclusive as you will go hungry and no variety. Having complained about this was told nothing could be done. Staff make no eye contact so have to wait and wait for any service to get drinks. If you are looking at a nice relaxing holiday with good food, please please avoid this place
We were in this hotel for 3 dsys . It was a good holiday for us .
Kristina from reception was very kind and did the check in very fast . In the restaurant they were very kind and they made for for the kids especial means when they didnt want to eat . The rooms were clean and the room service was very good. . The hotel and the pools were very beautiful and clean. We will come back to this hote
2nd Stay here in 2 years, mainly due to the fact of it being within reach of Family & Friends.
Location and Beach is very good, nice Beach area, loads of Beds available by the Pool and Beach, and lovely Pools, with a lot character.
We stayed B&B where the Breakfasts was nice, a fair selection of things, however a little dissapointing on local fruits, especially for June, no yellow melons and Water Melons only added when we complained.
Unsure what their all inclusive food was like but according to others, they said it was better to eat out, which in fairness, I couldn't comment as we alway ate out anyway as we know Larnaca very well.
Staff were very friendly, however, they could offer table service for morning bevvies rather than having to go and get it ourselves, plus no porter services to the rooms upon arrival.
Nice place, good staff, but really could be better.
The 3 hotels there are very similar but a shame they can't rival places like the eastern side of the island, where to be honest I am now drawn to. They would attract a lot more Cypriots if they did but seems like they prefer other european cultures there than us provebal fussier lot.
We had an absolutely wonderful holiday at Sandy Beach Hotel! Even in October, the weather was perfect — around 27°C, sunny, and ideal for relaxing by the sea.
Our mornings began with **peaceful walks**along the beach and coffee by the pool followed by an outstanding **breakfast buffet** with plenty of fresh and delicious choices. Days were spent **swimming in the calm sandy bay** and soaking up the Mediterranean sunshine. Before dinner, we enjoyed **playing tennis**, which was a great way to unwind and stay active.
Evenings with **beautiful sunsets over the sea** and **buffet dinners** featuring a wonderful mix of international and local Cypriot dishes.
The entire hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Most of all, the **staff were exceptional**always friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, making us feel completely at home.
Overall, a truly memorable and relaxing holiday— we can’t wait to return! 🌴
I had a lovely stay at SANDY beach hotel. The location is perfect, just a short walk from some nice restaurants and bars and supermarkets there in Dechelia road. I booked there as I had to cancel my return flight home last minute due to a fractured ankle and the only availability was at Sandy beach hotel. The staff was incredibly accommodating, always ready with a smile and eager to assist with any requests. The amenities, including the pool and breakfast options were superb. I tried the buffet once in the evening and the bbq and salads were amazing. . I will definitely recommend this lovely hotel with beautiful views on the beach! A big thank you to Christina at guest relations and Doros who helped me and cheered me up while I was there with a fractured ankle 🤗
the location of the hotel is beautiful, out standing views.
the air conditioner in the room is very old and noisy.
the breakfast was neither varied nor tasty at all. every day it was the same food with no changes, I had to drink coffee and eat some pastries every day just to feel full.
I was surprised that drinks were not included with dinner and were very expensive.
the service offered by the hotel are too expensive, such as: message renting a bike.
in addition, I didn't enjoy my stay because of the loud volume of music, I stayed at this hotel for five nights, and every night there was a party in the hotel's outdoor area with very loud music, and I asked the staff to lower it, every night. but they didn't care and the sound remained very loud for five night straight.
For me, it is important to see as many opinions as possible when I choosing a hotel (especially the bad opinions). So I will write now about it too. I chose this hotel on the recommendation of the travel agency through which I often travel. They have never disappointed me! The Sandy Beach&Spa Hotel in Larnaca, or more precisely in Pyla, is about 20 km from Larnaca Airport and about 14 km from the center of Larnaca. We hired a transfer car that picked us up late at night from the airport and took us to the hotel. You can go to the airport (bus no. 424), or to the city center (bus no. 425) by bus that has a stop near, few meters, right next to the neighboring hotel. The ticket costs 2.50 euros, in the evening it increases to 4 euros. The bus runs theoretically every 20 minutes… THEORETICALLY. I waited at the station for 45 minutes and no bus came, so I gave up using public transport!
Taxis cost – from Pyla to the airport 40 euros, - in the center of Larnaca 20 euros, there is a taxi stand very close by. But also two car rental centers. We paid to go to METROPOLIS Mall with a 6-seater limousine 30 euros, a trip of about 15 minutes. and the driver told us to call him 30 minutes when we want to return to the hotel that he will come after us and we paid another 30 euros. Convenient for the three families, I think.
The hotel is located right on a small sandy beach and a small bay. The sea water was clean, clear and warm (26,7 C degrees)There are showers and the possibility of washing your feet in the sand. The beach is clean, tidy with free sunbeds and umbrellas for hotel guests. Beach towels are provided in the room, and can be changed daily at the hotel reception. Be careful not to lose them = otherwise you pay 20 euros! The towels are handed over compulsory at check-out!. The room is cleaned daily and the towels and even the bed linen are changed… The air conditioning in the room is OK, but I heard that in some rooms the WiFi is not very good! And this was solved by my friend, at the reception, they took a dedicated WiFi device in the room with a provided password. Just ask for what you do need!
Every day we received a 1 liter bottle of water. In the room there is a small fridge in the room. Beer at the hotel is 5.40 euros, across the road at the shops is 1; 1.20; 1.40; 2 euros depending on the brand and different shops. Across the road from the hotel there are a series of small shops with everything… beach items, souvenirs, food and drinks, but also some restaurants. I heard that the Lebanese one is excellent. I didn't go to the restaurant, because the food at the hotel was good and enough!
I didn't use the spa either, which I thought was a bit expensive (80 euros for a massage etc.). There is also a large pool and a smaller one, but in my opinion it wasn't necessary to use it because we only came to the sea, and the beach and water were very good! We have plenty swimming pools at home, but the sea is only here, so ... go for it...
I had previously written to customer service that I needed a room with a shower, not a bathtub, and also a room that was quieter. When I arrived late at night, I was pleasantly surprised to find my written reservation request!
What I didn't like was that the view from the room was over the roof of the hall, I would have liked a more beautiful view... maybe to the pool and the sea on the side...
The rooms with even numbers face a very ugly view (storage area for things from the restaurant) and towards the Lordos hotel. Good thing I wasn't there!!!
Another thing I didn't like was about the restaurant there were so many different dishes on the offer, I couldn't tell what they were which. Especially for sauces, salads, desserts, it would have been good if they had some written names.
I hope all of this will be useful to anyone who wants to go there - to the Sandy Beach & Spa hotel. I definitely want to go there again if I go to Cyprus!
Fantastic suite with amazing views.Staff were all so friendly and welcoming, especially on reception. Great breakfast choice and facilities.
Wonderful stay! The staff were always kind, positive, and attentive to our accessibility needs. Special thanks to Stella for her warm support. We’ll be happy to return!
The hotel was ok, nice and clean, but it wasn't worth the price. Also, it is not very suitable for children (almost no entertainment).
Pool and beach were lovely
Beautiful hot, beautiful staff, this hotel is perfect. We are here now myself and my son and what can I say. The staff do this hotel so proud they are all amazing and friendly. Everyone is so welcoming and warming. They love my son who has autism / learning disabilities. We have come all inclusive however have eaten out over the road also for a bit of variety. The hotel has its own walkway to a private beach with a little bay which the sea is so calm and warm. The hotel also boasts a lovely pool. The sunbeds are so comfy well the double bed ones. The rooms are very cosy and cleaned every day..Throughly recommended and we will return
An oasis of greenery, a very well-kept hotel, with very well-maintained facilities, thanks to a sustained effort. The staff is very attentive to the needs of tourists and the food is very diverse. We had an upgrade to a very good room. The beach and pools are very clean and well-arranged. We thank the entire Team and especially Cristina, Andreas and Chef Vali. Dorel from Romania
My son and his girlfriend were here in the beggining of September. They had a little problem regarding the room, it was not quite exactly like they booked, but they went to the reception and they received a new room, very beautiful one. What I appreciated was the quick answer of the reception , they were very nice and ready to help them. I also wrote a mail to the Guest Relations manager- Mrs. Christina Charalambous and I appreciate the availability and kindness to help my son
The hotel is located on the beach, the pool area is very clean and beautiful and especially the food is delicious. Every evening there is another specific food.
What I liked is that if you have Halfboard, you can switch every day dinner with lunch, which is very convenient.
Generally, the hotel has very good services, beautiful and clean rooms, amazing food and very nice personnel, ready to help you all the time. I recomand this hotel, you can have a beautiful holiday here.
Absolutely loved my stay! Fantastic food, plenty of pools, and sunbeds were never a problem, beach towels available. The rooms were spotless and cozy. Highly recommend for a relaxing seaside getaway!
It's only 20 minutes from the airport. We arrived at this hotel late in the evening. Check-in only took a few minutes. There were 2 plates of cold food left for us in our room because we'd missed dinner, which we were very impressed with. The room was lovely and clean. The housekeeping was very good . The food was OK but most of the time the hot food was cold. There wasn't a huge selection of food. It was very much geared towards the German style of eating. Having said that, it was fresh and tasty. The pools were lovely, as was the beach, lots of sunbeds. The sea was very shallow great for children. There's not much to do outside the hotel, very few shops. Some entertainment in the evenings. Thankfully, the animation team had finished for the season, so there was no aqua gym, no loud music. We took a taxi into Larnaca to the shopping mall, which is about 30 minutes away, that cost €50 in total . We also took the same taxi to Portaras, which was much livelier with a lot more going on. That was about 45 minutes away, and cost €120.00 in total. We used Pambos Taxi. We found him through the hotel. He was a very nice man . Very reliable. He was always happy to wait for us. Apparently, he picks up from the airport . If this hotel was in or near Portaras, I would definitely be going back there . But unfortunately, there wasn't enough to do in the evenings . I realise that's not the hotels fault. Big thank you to all the staff who were helpful and friendly. It was a lovely holiday
Great staff, helpful and friendly. Perfect family hotel. Evening entertainment could be a little better. But thats not even an issue
Holidayed here as a couple attending a wedding. Our stay was for 7 days.
Lovely warm welcome from the reception staff, in a very clean and well presented lobby area.
The grounds were generally very nice, with the main attraction the pool and close proximity to the beach.
Bar area near pool very nice, albeit service a little slow.
Rooms were spacious and modern- we had a side sea view which overlooked the pool, and this was lovely.
Food in the restaurant was nice- not much variety, but quality was excellent. The local restaurants across the road are nice enough too. Not a lot around the area, but bus into Larnaca is frequent and does not take long.
A few issues however….
-The sunbeds have seen better days- uncomfortable and look a bit tatty (especially the beach ones)
-The balcony is very small, and the furniture was cheap
-The lighting in the room was very poor- no lighting at all near the wardrobes so had to use torch on phone in the evenings
-TV was dated, and for the price we paid we would expect it to be a smart tv
A nice enough stay for the occasion we were attending, but unsure if we’ll rush back
The service form most the staff was very good. Most the food was better than I expected and prices for food and drink were very acceptable.
We were there for the pool / Beach. The food option wasn't that great. The internet was bad.
