While the staff were fantastic (4/5), the rest of the experience fell short of Kimpton standards:
Room Quality (2/5): The room showed serious wear, with chipped tables, rusted mirrors, and stained sofas. First-night cleanliness was poor. There was dust on the furniture, dirty sinks, and hair on the chairs.
Property Fees (3/5): Charging $10 for bottled water (even for Elite members) with refillable water stations only on two floors feels unnecessary. Additionally, asking $45 to bring a microwave up to reheat last night’s in-room dining, which already included a 20% service fee and $6 delivery charge, is far above standard 4-star Beverly Hills guest service practices.
I usually prefer Kimpton’s modern vibe over InterContinentals, but this was unfortunately my worst stay with the Kimpton brand.
Renaldo at the front desk was very friendly and helpful! He gave us an upgrade and made sure that we had a great stay at the hotel. We really appreciate it!

Price
First up - Felicia - the manager is incredible. She rescued us when we were starving after a 14 hour work day and fed us burgers and beers when the restaurant was closed. So thank you hugely. Made such a difference.
The Palomar has a nice feel - great cocktails when the bar is open - nice pool and lovely lovely housekeeping staff .
You have to time your eating needs to the restaurants precarious hours but there’s a great front desk shop selling crisps wine and tequila if not.
One uncomfortable policy is that they take $ 150 from you a NIGHT on hold for accidentals. Even though there is no mini bar. So for a three night stay you’re down nearly 500 dollars. This is clearly a racket and needs calling out. I don’t want to under write the hotels debt restructuring issues with a major deposit. I just want fo stay the night and pay the bill.

Accueil machinal et froid. Frais de garage exorbitants. Espace piscine petit et mal agencé pour trop de monde. Petit déjeuner à la carte plutôt que buffet - pas pratique et un peu radin.
Amazing service! I want to give a big shoutout to the host Serena. Excellent customer service, she made us feel welcomed and explained the menu with patience. The food came quick and it was delicious, my husband and I will definitely be returning. Thank you Serena!
Very good food and drinks, I got the wings and flatbread. The setting was lively and very welcoming. The service was also great, the host Serenah was very accommodating.
I came here for the first time with my friend last week for my birthday and overall it was a really nice experience. The space is beautiful and has a great vibe, definitely a chill spot to hang out. We weren't super hungry so we just got tacos and the cauliflower, and both were really good. Service was great and everything came out pretty quick. Thank you Rosa, Serena, and Miguel for making my birthday experience memorable.
Fantastic Clean Safe Hotel with Great Service! The restaurant/bar has amazing food and specials! And the bar staff is top notch. Thank you Nick, Miguel, Matthew, and Serena for making my stay a treat. Also a big thank you to the housekeeping staff (especially Katherine)!
Ubicación y bicicleta
En Booking seleccioné una habitación con una sola cama grande (king), pero me entregaron con 2 camas más chicas, las cuales no son tan cómodas como la cama grande.
En Booking decía "desayuno americano incluido", pero luego me encuentro con la sorpresa que no es eso, sino un crédito por USD 40 que se acaba con un plato y un café, es decir, NO es un desayuno americano
LO PEOR: pagué por adelantado, sin derecho a devolución. El precio era total, con taxes incluidos. Al momento de hacer el check out, el hotel me cobró alrededor de USD 230 por concepto de "acceso a los amenities" que proporciona el hotel. Es decir, por tener acceso a una piscina, al bar, etc., que son los servicios por los cuales ya pagué en la tarifa, ahora me cobran de nuevo, de forma sorpresiva y engañosa. "Es que ud tuvo derecho a usar las facilidades del hotel y por eso le cobramos más de 200 USD". Es un engaño!
Can't rave enough about the service, everyone from check in, housekeeping, waiters, bartenders, management... all of it was five star plus! I can't wait to come back. I took my mom here before she was flying back to Europe as I wanted us to have an amazing experience and memory to share. We went for dinner at Doubletake and had the best time. Our waiter Serena was truly a ray of sunshine and took such good care of us.
The Kimpton is a great place to stay. Very comfortable, friendly staff, and a warm atmosphere. I always feel like I’m coming home when I visit. The employees truly go above and beyond. In particular, Miguel, Nick, and Mathew make the restaurant a welcome place to spend the evening. Whether you are the only patron or in a crowded room you are never overlooked. Truly a great place to visit. Reminds me of Cheers.
The entire staff was very attentive, especially Miguel at the restaurant. He was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. Most of all, he made me and everyone feel very welcomed!
