Pros:

The living room area

Cons:

I had a water leak and mattress was wet. I just got done fighting stage 3 cancer so my a immune system is low. My son and I went to use the pool and it was absolutely filthy. I didn't get into it cause I didn't want to catch anything.

The worst I've seen from Hyatt.
Pros:

I am a long-time Hyatt supporter and regularly stay at Hyatt locations, whenever possible. However, this Hyatt is an embarrassment to their lineup. The entire hotel was filthy and the staff were nowhere to be found, when needed. Multiple items, including plates, cups, and silverware, were left unstocked at breakfast making it nearly impossible to actually eat anything. What's worse, is that when it finally was restocked, the manager very clearly didn't wash his hands, after covering some house cleaning duties. This place was so gross we ended up cancelling our 2nd night and left after our attempt at breakfast.

This is a terrible Hyatt Property
Pros:

Here is a summary of the events:

7/24/2026 (Friday) at 9:28PM: I was called by Calena stating that "we had issues tonight with some of the door locks not working and due to security we can't actually sell those rooms we just wanted to let you know ahead of time so that you didn't drive all the way here since we don't actually have space hopefully you get this message beforehand anyway I hope you have a good night goodbye". When I called back she informed me that I was on my own to find alternative housing for the night and that Hyatt would pay the difference in rate and I could check in the next day. I was able to secure a Marriott hotel for the evening. The Marriott was actually a wonderful property, properly staffed and clean.

7/25/2026 (Saturday) 10:46AM: The next morning when I had to checkout of the Marriott, I tried calling the Hyatt Place front desk to see if I could check in early as I had no place to stay. The phone rang for 20 minutes at your front desk with nobody picking up so I finally hung up and drove to the Hyatt Place. When I arrived, there was nobody at the front desk, the office door was open with nobody in it and nobody was in the kitchen. I waited for 20 minutes (multiple guests stopped by while I was there asking if anybody was working and said this had been going on all week) until finally a gentleman in a green t-shirt came to front desk. I asked if I could check in and he said "let me see if your room is ready. Give me 2 minutes". He disappeared for another 20 minutes and finally came down with a laundry tub and gave me my room key cards. I was late to my daughter's basketball game.

The hotel lobby was very dirty all weekend. I have never had such a horrible experience with Hyatt before. My speculation is that since I checked in late on Friday, the staff gave the room I reserved to somebody off the street for a higher rate. This is completely unacceptable and not up to Hyatt standards.

Cowena the masterpiece - and a thumbs down otherwise. But Cowena saves the experience - and then some.
Pros:

First off - you have a SUPERSTAR employee. I mean, Cowena is so talented, so friendly, so helpful and SO HARD WORKING. Without her, you would fold!!! And if I were Hyatt, I'd pull the franchise. But if I'm another hotel, I'm hiring her - and with a big raise - because she is INCREDIBLE.

That said, I didn't want to stay here but it was the point offer was good. The reviews are almost true.

When you arrive - the physical plant is not very nice. You walk in - the food/dining area shelfs are empty. There are no bar stools - which also limits your chances to eat at the nearly non-existent breakfast. When you look in the side room with the TV, the carpet is ripped up. Walls damaged. I thought I was at a 20 year old Super 8.

My first room was improperly mis marked (it was used) so I got another. I'll say - it scared the crap out of me after getting the reviews - but the room was clean. Not modern but clean but for example, art (pic hooks) on the wall but no pics. Everything is old but clean - including the bathroom - so sigh of relief. The bed was comfy - but yep, I checked for everything.

Breakfast - got there at 7P. Yogurt - but no granola or fruit like they usually have. They did have Cuties (mandarin oranges), red (not Hyatt Place Green Apples) and really green bananas a week from being ripe. Oatmeal was in packets - not fresh. When I left at 7:40A, the 3 hot trays were still empty. If you don't mind the over sugary oatmeal, you're ok. But note to the Kitchen - when you don't freshly cook oatmeal, you need a hot water tank the same size as your coffee - because people need hot water. So yes, it went dry. But Cowena was busting butt here too. She may have been the only employee - and long past eight hours, still running around as an employee who truly cares to keep this place afloat.

One place that worked was the gym. Most Hyatt places have broken cardio. Yours all worked - the three pieces I saw being used. It was a sweat box in there which I enjoy. I did find the wall thermostat after others left to bring a little cool. But there was so much sweat - you need towels for people to wipe off.

Cowena was by far - the highlight of your hotel - and you are beyond lucky to have her.

The gym - solid for a Hyatt - limited equipment but it's what Hyatt Places are - is a 4 of 5. The room is a 3....but you're scared out of your mind before you get there which moves it lower.

I stayed here for cost. And knew of all the reviews up front. Glad I did. But the review scores aren't wrong.

Thanks

Not up to Hyatt expectations
Pros:

We stayed at the hotel over Fourth of July weekend. This Hyatt is in desperate need of a thorough deep clean and some remodeling. The toilet in our room was non functional so we had to use the lobby bathroom. We requested this be fixed the day we arrived but unfortunately there was no maintenance available. We were told it would be fixed in the morning but when we checked out four days later it had not been handled.

The breakfast was ok but the tables were always dirty. There was no requirement for people to be appropriately dressed for breakfast and people were there without shoes.

I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere in Cincinnati.

Will not stay here again and would love a partial refund
Pros:

The hotel is located in a great area and has an outdoor pool.

Cons:

The sink was clogged up, my spouse had to unclog it himself. I tried to get help from the housekeepers, they did not understand English. The lobby air conditioner went out, it was extremely hot in the building. The breakfast area was in the lobby which was very odd. One elevator was broken. When it was time to check out the front desk attendant was no where to be found and when myself and other guests asked for checkout receipts, the front desk attendant did not know how to work the printer or pull up checkout receipts. I literally had to go around the desk to type my own email in so that she could email me a receipt. This was the most unprofessional experience at a hotel that I’ve ever experienced.

Horrible management do not stay here for tournaments.
Pros:

This was the worst experience baseball trip we have ever had. No laundry in the hotel for a 5 day tournament. Sink in the room would clog up nightly with black sewer water. When we arrived q-tips were on the floor in the bathroom, rag in a drawer had pubic hair in it. The morning breakfast is not breakfast more like slop type of breakfast. I got better breakfast in the military. Location is in a good area in north Cincy, so it really surprised up how bad the hotel was ran. Pool was cold for the time of year and maintenance did not remove the cover bolts on the ground. We had one kid hit one with their floor and jammed his toe. Nearly broke it.
They offered me a discount for the whole stay but only put it in for one night. Management has refused to talk to anyone from the team about our complaints and refuses to compensate in anyway.
