Good. I would recommend this hotel
Pros:

Breakfast and breakfast room were fine. The view on the lake from the breakfast room and the outside deck were great.
Breakfast choices were adequate.

Cons:

I was initially asked to pay more for a room on the lake side. My room was eventually changed due to street noise.

Pros:

We had a very comfortable stay at Best Western Chocolate Lake. Our room was clean, efficient, and perfect for a relaxing visit. The included breakfast was a great bonus — tasty, fresh, and offered plenty of options to start the day right.

We also appreciated having access to the pool and the guest laundry, both of which made our stay even more convenient. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Nice view, run down facility, not worth the money

Beautiful view, friendly staff.

Cons:

This is a rundown place that needs face lift. The facility is old and aged. Okay room space and small bathroom. Towels bit old, bad sweaty smells in the closet. AC cannot adjust wind volume and is very loud. Tap water tasted bit mold.

I am very disappointed with my experience at this Best Western.

I booked 7 nights for my family through Booking.com, but at check-in the hotel charged me an additional significant amount of money that was never disclosed during the booking process. When I asked the front desk to explain the charge, I was repeatedly told, “We can’t help you. Please contact Booking.com.” No one took responsibility or attempted to resolve the issue.

Guests make their booking decisions based on the total price displayed at the time of reservation. Unexpected charges at check-in are unacceptable and undermine trust.

Unfortunately, the way this billing issue was handled and the lack of accountability from the front desk overshadowed an otherwise pleasant stay.

I hope the hotel addresses this issue to ensure future guests receive clear pricing and better customer service.

It was completely ok.
Pros:

It’s nice and close to everything. Being on the lake is a big plus.
