Gutes Hotel mit freundlichem Personal
Pros:

Wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) haben ein Zimmer mit 2 Doppelbetten gebucht und schnell festgestellt, dass dieses doch sehr klein gehalten ist...vorallem mit unserem ganzen Gepäck. Das Personal an der Rezeption und die Managerin waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, wir durften in eine Suite upgraden. DANKE dafür!
Das Personal beim Frühstück ist ganz besonders freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück an sich fanden wir tatsächlich auch ganz gut. Kostenloses Parken ist top und die Lage nach Halifax Waterfront ebenfalls gut.

Cons:

Die Zimmer sind leider alle mit Teppichboden ausgelegt und dementsprechend riecht es auch muffig im Zimmer. Unser Baby ist 10 Minuten auf dem Boden gekrabbelt und es hatte dreckige Knie/Füße. Da sollte man mal nachbessern. Die Bäder sind sehr klein gehalten und auch hier war es nicht richtig sauber.

Big insect in the bathroom.... Very noisy elevator, heard it from my room all the time...

Would not stay here again.
Pros:

I thought extremely expensive for the location; too far from downtown Halifax. Ubers were pricier than I had planned. Room was comfortable though had a loud air conditioner blower. Loved the fridge and coffee/tea service. Bed comfortable. Shower powerful enough. Had dinner three times ranging from 5-7 quality on 10-point scale. Service just OK; they didn't seem to want to wait on a single female. Breakfast outstanding.

Cons:

When checking out and with Uber waiting to take me to airport I was presented a bill higher than originally agreed to through Booking.com. Manager made some silly excuse. But I had to leave.

Very poor for Best western
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Fireplace did not work ( and I paid 100$ for it)
Heating and AC made noise that kept me awake
Elevator did not work
Dust everywhere in lobby
Breakfast had very little fruit and people were lining up for it

Good accommodations at an upscale price
Pros:

This is an older but very nicely kept lodging with accommodating staff. It is difficult parking if you have a large vehicle but other than that, my only prize was the price. It is the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed at.

Cons:

I was surprised that the hotel restaurant would not allow me to bring soup up to my room for a sick person. I offered to come and purchase it and carry it up myself but they refused. That was the only concern on our stay. The restaurants food is very good.
