Masseria Grofoleo

The Masseria Grofoleo was by far the most beautiful accommodation on our trip through Puglia. We stayed in a total of four different accommodations (all four stars with top ratings), but nothing comes close to this masseria. It is super private, has a great location and the host Emmanuel is really super friendly and helpful. The grounds are fabulously beautiful and it almost feels like you have the place to yourself. Emmanuel fulfills your every wish. Another great thing is that you stay in a real trullo.
If I can give other travelers a tip: save yourselves the other accommodations and rather take longer day trips to the places in the south and stay at Masseria Grofoleo instead! Absolute recommendation, we will definitely be back!

Het ontbijt was super in orde. Mooie variatie. Niets was te veel om bij te vragen.

Staff excellent, nothing was too much trouble, including making us a meal on the first night. Much thought has gone into the layout of the room / facilities - unlike many hotels, everything was appropriate and just worked. Garden / pool very nice, breakfast good.

Outstanding! Probably the nicest place that we have ever stayed at. Huge attention to detail. Grounds are gorgeous and room was immaculate. We loved staying in a true “trulli house” - it added so much to our entire experience.

We would 100% recommend staying at Masseria Grofoleo. Emmanuel and the team are the most wonderful hosts you could ask for. They are incredibly accommodating, and were always looking to check if we needed anything.

Our room was so spacious and housekeeping was the best we have seen, with our bed being made at least twice a day. Incredible service.

The breakfast is delicious with homemade cakes and high quality fresh fruit and freshly squeezed orange juice. So much variety!

The pool area is immaculate and very relaxing. We recommend an aperol spritz by the pool! Perfect!

The location is ideal with a 15 min walk into town and Locorotundo has a wide variety of restaurants and boutique shops to browse. it is very quaint and beauitful.

We will definitely be back!!

Fantastic breakfast in a beautiful setting

What a beautiful place, run by the nicest people. Perfect location with great view on and in walking distance to Locorotondo, one of the most beautiful little villages in Puglia. Breakfast was one of the highlights every morning.

Facilities are gorgeous, typical trulli. Service is exceptional. One of the best SLH i have experienced

Emanuel was a superb host. My wife arrived after having a spell in an Italian hospital, quite unwell. He did everything he could for us, for example driving us into Locorotondo town so she did not have to exert herself. He also organised a gorgeous lunch for us and the grounds of his property are beautiful and relaxing. It made for an excellent few days.

Emmanuel, avano, jot and Maria Paula were absolutely incredible. Emmanuel’s parents were even visiting - Guido and Mercedes - and they were amazing people. The whole place is like a family and we were treated like family. Sure - we were the paying guests - but I truly believe we’ve become lifelong friends - even in light of the 5 questions I asked Emmanuel each day.

The property, room, service is perfect. It is one of the most relaxing and beautiful locations at the bottom of locorotondo.

Highly recommend. I could write for days. We’ll be back and will recommend to others.

Appena entrati si viene accolti dai profumi del curatissimo giardino diffuso in tutta la proprietà, salvia e lavanda su tutti. Le camere sono ricavate nei tipici trulli della zona, freschi, insonorizzati e asciutti. Anche il bagno, con la sua doccia a filopavimento e il getto possente, ci ha colpito. Che dire della piscina e della zona ristoro, si gode di una splendida vista su tutta Locorotondo e la sua vallata, colazione (e nel nostro caso pranzo, ottimo ndr) scenografica indimenticabile.
Il personale è altamente preparato e premuroso ma allo stesso tempo eccezionalmente discreto. Anche il micio Nino è stato super educato e discreto ma al contempo disposto a farsi coccolare.

De persoonlijke aandacht van eigenaar Emanuel en zijn staf zijn in één woord geweldig. Het personeel slaagt erin om het je meer dan 100% naar je zin te maken. De locatie is geweldig, evenals de massaria zelf.

Everything. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were treated with the utmost care and attention. Everything was perfect. The location is stunning especially the grounds, the accommodation, the pool area- in fact everything. There is nothing we would change and we would absolutely love to return. The view from the hotel to the old town is stunning and can be easily reached by a safe country path- maximum 15 minutes walk. The attention to detail by the owner is first class and anyone visiting this hotel will not be disappointed. We are currently in a 5 star hotel in Lecce and this hotel is an equal match!

I'm amazed with the beauty of the place and the attention of the owner. He surprised me with a birthday cake on my birthday and every detail of our stay was perfect. It was such a magical moment and the best experience ever. I highly recommend it.
