Bad smells, vomit and trash in the hallway, ac units in room didn’t work. Not pleasant
The staff were all very kind, friendly, and accommodating. The breakfast was truly wonderful and well-stocked. The night we arrived, the elevator was out of order and the concierge took the stairs to retrieve ice and delivered it directly to our room. Everyone went over and above. And lastly, the beds were very comfortable.
The room we stayed in was handicapped accessible; however, the door to the bathroom was so narrow a standard wheelchair would not fit through it. There was also only one desk chair for sitting, which made it difficult for two adults to be comfortable without one person sitting on the edge of the bed. The ice machine on the 1st floor was non-existent. The space where it should be was basically an open unkempt drain area which did not look sanitary. The ice machine on the second floor had a white PVC pipe running out of the back of it draining openly into a drain hole that looked to be moldy and filthy. It needs covered and cleaned and drained properly. The desk in our room had been carved/etched on like a tic tac toe board. The elevator was out of order, and if you are traveling with an elderly, handicapped individual that is catastrophic. Fortunately they were able to procure a first floor room, but this is not acceptable on any given day or time when there is only one elevator. The hotel needs updating and TLC, as does the parking lot.
Festus location, dusty atmosphere, possibly mold in the ac units, filthy lining and floors. Could not prepare for a wedding in such unclean conditions.
pretty rough place clean enough but run down. price to high for this wore-out place
Great shower pressure
Breakfast poor
No blanket

I couldn't find anything to dislike
My experience at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Festus - St. Louis South was bad enough that I feel obligated to warn others.
The first issue was cleanliness. The hotel appears to have little regard for basic hygiene standards. The hallways looked dirty, and my room was no better. There was dog hair throughout the room, along with long strands of hair from previous guests on the bed, bathroom floor, and throughout the bathroom. It was obvious the room had not been cleaned properly before my arrival.
The property itself is also extremely outdated. Paint is peeling in multiple areas, and the bathroom tub was stained and discolored to the point that it looked unsanitary and unpleasant to use.
What happened with my reservations was even worse. I had multiple back-to-back reservations and specifically asked several times if I could remain in the same room. During check-in, Dannie assured me that staying in the same room would not be a problem. The following morning, I spoke with the General Manager at the front desk, who also confirmed that I could stay in the same room. On the third day, I stopped by the front desk again to verify everything was still set. No one was present, so I called from my room. Carlos answered, confirmed that I could remain in Room 308, and even asked for my room number.
Despite receiving confirmation from four different employees over three days, the hotel somehow assigned my room to another guest.
The result was completely unacceptable. Later that evening, while I was in the room preparing to shower and completely undressed, another guest walked into my room because the front desk had given her access to it. This was not just embarrassing, it was a serious privacy and security failure. There is absolutely no excuse for a hotel assigning an occupied room to another guest after multiple confirmations that the room assignment had been handled correctly.
To make matters worse, the hotel's internet was not working when I checked in. Every time I asked about it, I was told they were "working on it." The internet never worked during the entire four days of my stay.
Between the lack of cleanliness, outdated condition of the property, non-functioning internet, and the alarming room assignment mistake, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had. The overall quality was honestly below what I would expect from a Motel 6.
Management either needs significant training or needs to be replaced entirely. I cannot recommend this property and will not be returning.
Breakfast was basic and not very good. They started taking away the food 30 minutes before breakfast was finished. The eggs were obviously powdered, the sausage was slimy.
The room we booked was a 1 bedroom king suite. We arrived late at night, tired from a 12 hour drive. When we got off the elevator, the hall smelled like sewer. We got to our room and found that the room looked old and unclean. We started to get ready for bed and found that the fold out bed in the couch was disgusting with multiple stains, thin and lumpy, which the sheet would not stay on, and then we noticed that inside the couch, below the bed frame, was full of garbage, literally, garbage! Every bed pillow looked like it had been through a tornado, very lumpy, hard and round. The bathroom sink would not drain, the tub and floor trim looked like they spread caulking around the edge by scooping it out of a can with their hands and smearing it all along the rim to cover the mold that was underneath. It was without a doubt, the worst room we have ever seen! They moved us to a different room that was smaller, but in the same stinking hall, but we were too tired to argue. They credited one night of our stay and reduced the room rate by $5 per night, even though we paid for a suite and ended up in a standard room. Not one member of the staff acknowledged the condition of the room or the smell in the hall. They claimed they didn't notice. In addition, there were people smoking marihuana in the hotel, making the halls and elevator stink of pot. They said it was legal in Missouri, so it's OK. Funny how there is no smell of cigarette smoke, because it's not allowed in the hotel. We will most likely never book a stay at any La Quinta again.
Pool was closed and had a child who was looking forward to playing in the pool.
The room had a dank, musty smell to it, and the air conditioner would not cool efficiently.
There was also pet hair in the bed and human hair on the floor that was noted before we retired for the night.
Breakfast also left a lot to be desired as all the entrée choices were cold and they did not have juices available.

It was a very nice place. The employees were very helpful.
I don't like the cleaning. The place needs to be trained better in cleaning
If it was not so smelly, I could have remembered something good.
The staff was not friendly. There was foul smell in the room, elevators and the hall ways. The hall ways were not vacuumed, there were some hall way with fruit loop cereal spilled on the hall way. No Laquinta hotel for!
