Pricy
Cons:

They never returned my 50.00 deposit they charge you when you check in. They ripped me off. Also they had no wifi at the area of the hotel where I stayed at.

AVOID - They scam you!
Pros:

Avoid this place, go to Best Western instead - This pathetic place, if you book including breakfast, the breakfast is NOT included! They will force you to eat at their breakfast buffet and then charge you afterward, 21.95USD per head. And the front desk Tamara does not give one single damn about it, instead, she just prints out a letter saying these are the hotel rules. Thankfully AGODA refunded us the amount because they too admitted that it was in fact a scam!!

An amazingly beautiful hotel!
Pros:

A beautiful hotel both inside and out! The rooms are truly unique in their furnishing and super clean. We loved the relaxed atmosphere. I great deck off of each room for drinking your morning coffee or an afternoon cocktail! The pool and spa were wonderful too!

Spacious rooms and super friendly staff
Pros:

An overnight stay to do a tour of the Canyon de Chelley. We arrived well before check in but were able to get a room, just a shame the swimming pool was out of action! We were also given a late checkout of 2pm so we could clean up after our canyon trip, presumably as the hotel wasn't full.

The rooms and beds are large, comfortable and clean. We ate in the restaurant, served by a super lady (forgotten her name begins with A I think), food was surprisingly good. Disappointed that breakfast was only a buffet as we'd been given a copy of the a la carte menu, didn't spoil our stay though!

Wouldnt have paid a premium to stay had I know the pool couldnt be used

Overall not upkept. Poinsettas in dingroom ( in April), advertised with a pool(main reason I booked there)..empty..lobby and patio not clean

Very well kept, clean facilities and rooms. Close to the Canyon de Chelly visitor center and rim drives. Would highly recommend (slept very well!)

Cons:

There is a small restaurant located in hotel but not open 24/7 and you'll need to drive about 10 minutes away from hotel for other food/dining options (mostly mini-marts and fast food). But certainly not a deal breaker if you plan accordingly

A rundown holiday Inn
Pros:

Holiday Inn Canyon De Chelly is the only major chain hotel in the town of Chinle, and is located at the mouth of the Canyon De Chelly. The hotel is located in a rust town, with a youth correction facility and a Chevron station (with broken price tag) nearby.
There are stray dogs in the parking lot of the Holiday Inn (hunting for food?). The security door to the 2nd floor of the Holiday Inn doesn’t work. The room itself is clean, and is a fairly standard Holiday Inn room, with 2 double beds, a toilet and a tub and shower.
The hotel charges ~20% tax, with a 6.05% Arizona State Tax, a 8% Navajo Nation Tax, and an additional 6% Navajo Nation Sales Tax.

The most relaxing week
Pros:

Excellent hotel!! Staff were friendly and very helpful. Bed and bedding were awesome! Even had daily housekeeping. Very clean room and grounds. Exceptionally quiet. Attached restaurant was very good. Made to order breakfast included. Navajo tacos were so good!! Guides to the Canyon floor were located on site. All together one of our best adventures!
