Hampton Inn Chambersburg

I have been staying at the property weekly for 2 years. Everyone I have interacted with is warm and friendly. Jacinda, Claudia, Shannon and Liz at the front desk all would take time to get to know me and make me feel welcome and a home away from home. The women setting up breakfast commented on when my scheduled changed and said that they missed me because I had to leave prior to the breakfast hours starting. These little touches make traveling for business so much better. The rooms were always clean and maintained.

We typically stay at Hampton Inns, so this review is comparing this hotel to other Hampton Inns. We stayed overnight while passing through VA and PA. The hotel was extremely loud, thin walls, people singing and yelling in the hallways after midnight. The room looked recently renovated, yet the heater/AC unit was on a crumbling concrete slab. The noise from I81 made it difficult to sleep. I'd look elsewhere if traveling on the I81 corridor.

My stay at Hampton Inn, Chambersburg was exceptionable and above my expectations as a business traveler for the last 30 years. A special thank you Claudia at the front desk; she was incredibly helpful and friendly, making me feel so welcome the moment I arrived. This facility has been my second home for months as I support a manufacturing facility in Chambersburg.

I have stayed here for a majority of my work trips here in Chambersburg and have never had the level of service Claudia provides me. From check-in to check-out, Claudia always ensures everything always goes smoothly. Her level of professionalism is second to none and it is the type of location / service I look forward to returning to, day in and day out.

There is an excellent balance of modern style and comfort. Claudia's chill vibe permeates the entire hotel, from the front desk throughout the building.

Claudia and the hotel staff exceed my increasing expectations each and every time. The overall experience is excellent, and I will continue to return.

This was very nice only draw back I gues some kind of dog thing was going on and the dogs which were clean dogs were around the table where you eat at breakfast. I have two dogs but they are outside dogs and I love dogs but that needs to be not allowed. Other than that this is the place to stay.

Very nice, but close to highway so traffic noise was a nuisance. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Great shower.

Very nice staff. Clean refurbished room. Good coffee. The HVAC, however had a loud high-pitched whistle, even on low. Fortunately the weather was adequate to leave it turned off.

We stayed at the Hampton Chambersburg when in town for a family wedding and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was nicely decorated, beds were comfortable, and room temperature was easy to control. Appreciated having a full size ironing board and mini fridge in the room. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and made our stay all the more enjoyable. Location was convenient with nearby restaurants and attractions. Gettysburg is only about a 45 minute drive away so some members of our party were actually able to do a tour there the morning of the wedding. Other family members who stayed at a different chain's hotel in Shippensburg weren't nearly as happy with their accommodations. Would gladly stay here again if we're back in the area!

The room was clean enough to not cause a panic attack, but not particularly clean. The worst though? The woman at the desk acted as if we were ruining her day by approaching the desk. Well stay at the Tru next time, where the customer service was stellar.

The property was clean and the staff was friendly. Safe location would stay here again.

Staff were all extremely welcoming and friendly. Would have liked to have been advised about the room being pet friendly and given a choice. Was wondering why my allergies were acting up, it me as I was leaving that was why there was a pet doorhanger. LOL
Breakfast was decent. especially the waffle station - 2 different flavored batters, toppings included chocolate and caramel toppings, whipped cream, sprinkles, maple syrup, butter, jams.

Conveniently off of 81, close to several dine in options as well as dine out options.

The staff here were top notch! Room was clean & beds comfy. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. Breakfast was great too!

We were just here in an overnight stay during our road trip, but this is the place I will stay at in the future when in the area. Very quiet clean and comfortable. Several very good restaurants just down the road. Highly recommended!

We planned in advance and booked to have two stops at this hotel during our travels. Our first stop was good, and we had a room 302 that was clean, and the service was good, and we were recognized as gold members. The hotel is located in a good location with plenty places for food, including a supermarket nearby.

The Hotel has an outdoor swimming pool, and a fitness center, and a small conference room, but NO business center. The complimentary breakfast was good enough.

our room 302 has a small closet that has an Iron and board, No personal safe, mini refrigerator, and mini microwave. The bathroom was good with a place to store personal toiletries, and the shower was with good pressure and hot water.

On our way returning home we stopped again at this hotel for our 2nd pre-booked stay and the service at the front desk was really bad with a lady named Liz, who was not only very uncaring about our stay but also did not care to recognize us as gold members, she gave us nothing, no water or anything. She also didn't care that we always stay on a high floor she gave us the first floor and said basically take it or leave it because the hotel is booked up. We went to the room 101 that she gave us and it was not looking too clean, and it had a small live bug that we had to kill on the floor near the front door. We immediately went back to the front desk and Liz told us without any care that we could go ahead and leave and that there won't be any charges for our 10 minute or so stop there. She was just so uncaring and truly not professional.

Regardless if they were booked or not there is a way to at least make a customer feel wanted and feel sorry that you couldn't help them, but she truly cared less and was also rolling her eyes at me when I asked her for a receipt to show no charge, and to also get her name. I told her that she probably shouldn't be in that kind of job of customer service, and she agreed in a sarcastic reply. Anyway we left and stayed at another Hotel. Because our 2nd stop at this Hotel was so awful we would not stay at this particular Hotel again for fear of not knowing if there would be another chance to receive such awful customer service and also get a room with a bug in it.

Stay here when visiting Mom, nice place for a fair price.

The hotel was generally clean and had a nice breakfast selection, but the pack and play they provided was disgusting — stained and clearly overdue for replacement. Thankfully, I had brought my own sheets, but no guest should have to use something in that condition. If this hotel wants to be truly family-friendly, they need to invest in clean, safe pack and plays and provide proper bedding for them.

Nice, clean hotel right off of the highway. Noisy at times, but very conveniently located. Surrounding areas look a little sketchy.
