Cons:

The hotel doesn't have a room service, but they say it does. If you want them to bring you something to your room at 10 p.m., call the room service number. Nobody will answer the phone, so call reception instead. Nobody picked up the phone there either. Finally, the restaurant answered and said, 'We are not the room service.'

Pros:

Perfect location at South Kensington, very close to public transport, Hyde Park, V&A and Natural History museums, shopping and restaurants in Knightsbridge and Chelsea. Fantastic service & breakfast. Highly recommended!!

Petit hôtel authentique en face de South Kensington
Pros:

Mignon petit hôtel sympathique et authentique juste en face de la station de métro South Kensington. Assez étonné que ce soit un hôtel 5* (plutôt petit 4* selon moi). Décoration classique et charmante comme un hôtel du siècle passé. Lobby et salons très agréables et propres. Personnel très cordial et poli (mais pas chaleureux). Très bon petit déjeuner à la carte (mais très cher £27-29) dans belle salle à manger lumineuse et décorée avec goût (La Trattoria)
Comme j'avais réservé en last minute, le tarif était intéressant avec petit déjeuner inclus..... mais ...

Cons:

La réservation prévoyait une chambre de 22m² - la chambre était à mi- étage (donc pas d'ascenseur au niveau de la chambre, pas pratique pour les bagages). La chambre faisait peut-être 22m² mais tout en longueur, avec un long couloir de 5 x 1 m entre la salle-de-bains et l'endroit où se trouvait le lit. On perd donc déjà 5m² ! La chambre était cosy mais très sale à certains endroits (inacceptable pour un hôtel 5*) et rideau occultant à une seule fenêtre (réveil à 7h du matin avec le soleil). Salle de bains correcte; connexion wifi pas très performante (j'ai dû passer en 5G plusieurs fois).
Attention quand vous recevez votre facture en fin de séjour, les pourboires pour la chambre et le petit déjeuner sont ajoutés arbitrairement sur la note. Je n'ai jamais vu ça autre part mais il paraît que c'est d'usage dans les hôtels 5* de Londres ! On ne vous demande pas votre avis, ces suppléments sont automatiquement ajoutés, mais vous pouvez demander de les retirer si vous en avez l'envie ou le culot (ou si vous estimez que le personnel ne mérite pas... mais qui va avoir le culot de les retirer?) Je ne trouve pas ça très honnête au final.

Charming boutique hotel in a convenient location

The location was charming; the staff were very welcoming and responsive to all our requests. The beds were super comfortable; and the bathroom was large, with two basins and a deep soaking tub and multiple shower heads.
