Cool hotel! Friendly staff! I enjoyed my stay there. There was also a nice view
This is my first time at this property. It didn’t feel like a Hilton experience. i had checked in the day before but when I arrived, my room was not available. I was put in another room, which seemed OK. Trying to sleep was really tough because the freeway noise was so loud, and I have a hearing loss, so for a hearing person, I can only imagine (the room I had chosen was not on the freeway side). The room only had 2 towels for 2 people. I was able to get an additional towel from one of the EVS staff. The room temperature was difficult to manage. With the AC was on, it was OK, but blew so hard it was not comfortable for sleep. If I turned it up, the heat came on. I finally turned it off. I also didn’t like that it did not include breakfast.
Also, the bathroom did not appear to have been vacuumed.

Overall it was a great place. The bed was a little uncomfortable but the temp control was crazy it was either freezing me to death or melting me the 1st night so the second night I slept with the windows open that was better but so very loud outside my sleep was not better
This hotel is the old Monarch Inn, and the upgrade has been very nicely done. The rooms are fresh, clean, bright and fully remodled. I stayed on the 3rd floor and had no noise at all. Room amenities were fine - coffee, tea, fridge and YEA the AC worked. The bath vanity was very small, the shower big and easy in and out. There is a lounge and restaurant - Saturday evening both venues were very busy. I had the Sunday morning Buffet which I don't recommend. However, all in all a very lovely stay.
Our king room was great. The double queen rooms were hot and muggy and had a weird smell. The rooms were hard to regulate temperature.
The room was large and the staff was great. There was a baseball tournament so there was a lot of screaming kids until 11 pm. The hotel did there best, but the parents of the kids should have done a little better.

The location is why I chose the hotel. Its near major retail stores and lots of restaurants to choose from. Its approximately an hour drive away from Mt. Hood and an hour drive from Silver Falls State Park. The hotel was newly renovated which was nice. The staff was very helpful and professional. Great stay overall.

I would suggest that you have more staffing especially at breakfast 45 minutes waiting for your order is way too long.

WoW! Exceptional rooms and service. Not a new motel, but Hilton has done a fabulous remodel. Nice room layout with walkin showers and sink in a separate alcove. Brand new sheets, towels, and pillows. Comfortable mattress. Didn't want to leave!
First time staying at the Monarch Hotel. We enjoyed staying here. It was right near where my daughter used to live so we were familiar with the area. I booked using the app so I was able to get the sale price so it was cheaper than where we normally stayed so we decided to try it out. It’s been a year of Hilton hotels so we’ve been happily surprised at the value, rooms and atmosphere of all of the hotels. I knew of the Monarch hotel but didn’t know it was a Hilton hotel. I don’t know if it’s a new thing. We were very happy to find the room was renovated…not old at all. The bathroom took some getting used to as the sink was outside and the shower and toilet was behind the door. It helps when getting ready. We’ve stayed in 2 other hotels after staying at the Monarch and to me the Monarch had a more homey feel to it than the other 2. I definitely recommend this hotel.
