Columbia Center Red Lion personnel made up in spades for any deficiency. We had a great stay!
Pros:

The breakfast was functional but nothing to write home about as the kitchen at the Nomad Restaurant was reportedly being remodeled. Still, Dommy (Dominique) made it enjoyable with a cheerful attitude despite the disruption and we enjoyed breakfast regardless because of her! Joe and Heather who were working the front desk were also cheerful and friendly. Columbia Center Red Lion personnel made up for any lacks we might have noticed and we had a great stay because of them!

Cons:

This might be petty but the coffee maker in the room positioned under the TV was inconvenient in my opinion and the slider window to the inner courtyard needed cleaning in my opinion.

Terribly inconvient and frusterating.
Pros:

The rooms were adequate. The staff were super nice.

Cons:

The key card system was abhorrent. Almost every time we would leave we would have to get our key card reprogrammed. No matter what, it took us a couple of minutes of fidgeting with the key to get in. I then heard from others that this has been an ongoing problem for more than 10 years and refuses to do anything about it. It was such an inconvenience that me and my boyfriend agreed the price was not worth it just based on the key system and we would’ve been better off even at a cheap motel. Besides the key card, it would have not been that bad.

The worst stay at a Red Lion I have ever had!
Pros:

The best part of this stay was checking out!

Cons:

From the minute I walked in the door to check in it was unpleasant. The front desk clerk was chatting it up with a man and completely ignored me. She sent me to a room in another building down a fairly dark hall. It was a very uncomfortable situation. The room was clean, there were large leak spots on the ceiling and the door sweep was gone. The toilet had to beflushed twice to get anything to go down. The first night of my 3 was a Tuesday and it was quite loud in the hallways. Night two at midnight the fire alarm went off. The woman at the front desk was rude and didn’t do anything to make sure the guest were comfortable. Just told us to stand outside away from the building in the dark with a lot of wind for 45 minutes! There was no explanation why this happened no apology just everyone standing outside! Then we were told we could go back to our rooms with no explanation! Oh wait it wasn’t over, just as you calmed down and started to go back to sleep the alarm went off again! The windows are so old and thin when the wind blew so did the curtains. The restaurant was closed, there were zero Anne pities as advertised. I have been a Red Lion customer for many years but after this stay I would never recommend this one to anyone.

Cons:

I found bugs in our bed, i couldn't stay the last night because of it. I informed front desk of it when i checked out & they did nothing. This place used to be good.

Everything was fine except shower dilemma.

Was in a handicap room and Cleaning lady was great. Good worker and very friendly.

Very comfortable and easy. We will stay there again.

Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Bed was VERY comfortable. The facility is in the older side but nicely kept. Staff was great. Price was good.
