disappointing stay at what should be a very pleasant hotel
Pros:

The location is great because it's right along the river, with a pleasant walk through the park to downtown.

Cons:

The person working at the reception desk when we checked in couldn't find our reservation for two king rooms, so he booked us in two queen rooms and he didn't lower the charge as he should have. I had to correct this with another person at reception the next morning. Also, the room he booked us in reeked of some sort of chemical smell and it made my wife feel ill, so we had to change rooms. The beds were too soft for our taste, as well.

Stay was amazing. Heavy set guy with the curly hair needs to learn some customer service. Acts like he don’t care
Pros:

We were offered early check in and they accepted it when I booked 2 months ago. This is the 2nd time they have done this and they denied our early check in for the 2nd time after it was approved and we had to wait hours in the lobby til check in time

Cons:

I love that it was comfortable and in a great location

Nice hotel great location
Pros:

Location view

Cons:

Room was not vacuumed appropriately upon arrival
Maintenance worker had a very foul odor that li greed in room after he left/ same issue a year ago which I reported.

Convenient location, clean rooms and helpful staff.
Pros:

We were there for a conference, perfect location, we used room service which was excellent. All in all a great time.

Cons:

It was sad that the pool wasnt still open as although it was October it was really warm and we would certainly have used it.

Probably will stay at the Ruby next time

Pool was closed even though I received an email a week prior to my visit promoting it. We stayed here six other nights this year and the pool was open even in the middle of February

Not what I expected from a Davenport property
Pros:

Have known this hotel for decades. Had anticipated this latest update and becoming part of the Davenport group would see better improvements. I’ve stayed at every other property, this is not even close to the others standards. Very disappointing

We stay here a lot , but very disappointed in service & early check in policy.
Pros:

Like the location & balcony looking over the pool.

Cons:

Ridiculous to charge $50 for early check in when our room was ready at noon. Came back at 1:15pm & was told would be charged $25 to get in 45 min. early..This is really a poor policy & front desk folks would not let us in until after 2pm. So we went wine tasting & got to check in after 4pm...Also, room service did not clean our room or provide new towells .We went to Pullman for football game & got back at 11pm, & room was not cleaned when we left a clean sign on door....Finally got some new towells after calling front desk. Matthew was apologetic & got towells to us....

Mediocre rooms considering the price
Pros:

Location close to Gonzaga

Cons:

Our bathroom was not clean. Human hair found in the shower refrigerator did not work well and Clock did not work in room.

Pros:

It was spacious.

Cons:

I was not given the room with a view that I had booked well in advance. They gave us another room. It was big but awkwardly laid out. No coffee cups, short on toilet paper., only one wash cloth, the air conditioner dripped from ceiling vent to floor. Weird older furniture.

Very disappointing and dirty with no one to care.

The location and bed mainly

Cons:

Our room was dirty and looked as though it hadn’t been clean. There was a hole in the bathroom wall that looked like it had been half patched with tape left around it. The patio had spiderwebs all over it and the chairs, and there was a spiders nest with spider eggs on the curtain corner! When brought up to staff they genuinely didn’t seem to care what so ever. It looked as though they were stoned or out of it and again didn’t care about the job. Honestly can’t believe this hotel is owned by Davenport.
