It’s tricky to find the entrance on Floor 6. Even after the first time! That’s probably just me though 😀
I had a wonderful stay at Osaka Nankai Swissôtel. The location is extremely convenient – Nankai Namba Station is right next to the hotel, and there are plenty of restaurants and malls nearby. It’s also within walking distance to Namba and Shinsaibashi, which made exploring the city very easy.
The service was excellent. I arrived in the morning and, after registering, the staff kindly invited me to wait in the lounge. Not long after, they delivered my room key, which was a thoughtful gesture. The room itself was very spacious and came with a chocolate welcome gift – a lovely and memorable touch.
Breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of choices that made each morning enjoyable. Overall, this hotel combines convenience, comfort, and great hospitality. I highly recommend it to others and would gladly stay again.
EXCELENT!!
Alles top
We stayed at this property for four nights in a suite. The suite itself was huge; I think I counted 7 separate rooms within it including a separate makeup room and standalone powder room. The room had club access where you could enjoy breakfast, afternoon tea and evening drinks/canapes. It was a welcome space to take some quiet time overlooking the views of downtown Osaka. We took breakfast here three of the days and went to the main breakfast buffet on the top floor the last day. That was really something with so many options, and had we known previously we may have preferred there. The same space is a restaurant/bar in the evening with sweeping views. Unfortunately on the two occasions we went up for dinner (after long days out) it lacked atmosphere. Both visits, despite giving us menus, we were never asked if we wished to order a meal. We ended up just having a few drinks and skipped the dinner, as the menu was quite limited anyway.
The hotel is very well located with easy walking access to trains and all the best spots in the city. It really was a great location to base yourself.
I notice a number of reviewers mention Accor and we too selected the hotel as Diamond tier members. There was a lovely note and box of chocolates in our suite, but other than that there was not any other benefit of note.
A solid choice if you favour a large, chain hotel. Next visit I think we may try a more boutique experience.
Good location
Great location near Dotonbori and just above the Namba Station. Facility is beautiful and smells great. Service was phenomenal.
The staff were exceptional. They were very friendly, and the concierge desk was especially helpful in helping me with a package.
Unbeatable location, but severely lacking in premium hospitality. Situated directly above Namba Station, the convenience for airport transfers and day trips to Nara and Kyoto is truly excellent. However, as an Accor Platinum member, I found the service standards and management culture here to be deeply disappointing.
The staff lacks basic courtesy and tact. Simple requests result in abrupt interactions—such as dropping unannounced bills on the table—rather than seamless service. Basic room amenities also suffer from sluggish delivery times. Most concerning is the leadership; when feedback is provided, the General Manager’s approach is defensive and pedantic, prioritizing policy citations over guest experience.
If you are just looking for a well-connected transit hub, the location works. If you are seeking genuine luxury hospitality, professional management, and refined service in the city, take your business to the W Osaka instead.
