The room service breakfast. The description shows something and what they served was not even half of what the menu said. The price for what was offered was toooo expensive. I said it to the person in the front desk and no apologies and no discount offered.

Crowne Plaza in Santo Domingo lives up to the Crowne Plaza standard of 'being very good'. It sits on George Washington Avenue, the main road running beside the bay. The lobby is spacious, the lifts are stunning with stone walls, and like other secure hotels, you have to tap the card before you can press your floor.
We were booked for two nights (actually, the second half of one night, and the first half of the second night, since we got to the hotel at 5 am and had to leave at 2 am) and we were disappointed that the junior suite we had booked wasn't available when we arrived. They did say it would be available the following night but since we would only use the room for 12 hours and had to move our things after getting back from our tour, we just said no.
Breakfast was on the 1st floor. It was a decent spread thought not totally impressive - no veggies for example. We were also given access to the Lounge on the 14th floor, a benefit we really appreciated on our last night before heading back for home.
No fault of the hotel but we were there on the day of the marathon so George Washington Avenue was closed. Our taxi driver from the airport couldn't find a way to get close enough to the hotel; our tour guide didn't show up as well since he also had the same difficulty.
Miguel Gomez is amazing! He is very professional and creates a welcoming environment. He prepared a Micky virgin cocktail while I waited for my room to be ready.

Delay in responses to queries. Not meeting agreed time for providing a meal or starting a service. Specifically, the restaurant was to open at 5 am on the 26, and didn’t open till 5:15-20. I ordered a breakfast to be delivered at 5 am on the 27 and l had to go collect it at the reception.

Това, което не ни хареса е, че стаята няма как да се проветрява, защото прозорците не се отварят изобщо, дори минимално, а балкон нямаше, въпреки, че в описанието на резервацията беше упоменато,че има.

Our experience was amazing. The food was great and so was the customer service. Miguel was very sweet and patient while waiting our table. Yeraldin was an amazing hostes.
