I made the mistake of booking this location versus the Renaissance Gateway near the Marriott. The carpet is so horrible I can’t take my shoes off. I have a preference to be away from the elevator — I’m directly across from the elevator. I can’t imagine sitting down on the toilet seat. This place is not good. My first sign was how the elevator looked.
Arriving “early” (around 2:45p) after my drive from cold and snowy Indianapolis Cornethia, her smile, attentiveness and clear command of her area made all the difference!! Maybe on quick glances seeing a leather Abound luggage tag, or seeing status at check-In and apologizing the lounge was closed until SUN evening we continued to have a pleasant conversation. Humbly, she shared some of her prior travel opportunities and the other ATL area properties she had interviewed at almost six+ years ago before choosing and remaining there at the Renaissance ATL Concourse b/c of the people and culture. Nevertheless, Cornethia’s graciousness and positivity radiated the following late morning when I saw her back at the front desk to thank her for my room’s south facing locale, airport/runway view, high floor and unsolicited SNA upgrade!!!! I hope other travelers get to see her same smile snd experience the same professionalism, sincerity and joy I did after my arrival last FRI 2/6 in sunny ATL from our Midwestern tundra…
Stayed here during a recent layover. The hotel offers a free shuttle to and from the airport. The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were clean. The staff was very friendly. The bar/ restaurant was good. Would stay here for the cost again. much cheaper than the other Renaissance closer to the airport.
My flight was cancelled and I was scrambling to find a hotel. Gina B. checked me in quickly. She was extremely helpful, friendly and worked well with the lengthy line behind me. She’s very accommodating!!! Cornethia helped me the next morning by extending my check out since my flight was departing at 9pm. The bellman helped me, my elderly mother and two children with all the luggage as well as stored it until we left. The shuttle driver and Gina B. constantly checked on us to make sure that we were comfortable. I can not speak highly enough about the staff at the Renaissance! They are the reason people will continue to return to this hotel.
NOTE - regardless what the website says, this hotel IS NOT accessed by the free sky train connected to the airport. That’s a different Renaissance. And I checked multiple times before I booked.
That said, if you don’t mind a shuttle or Uber ride in Atlanta airport traffic, then it’s a fine hotel. Very nice staff. Rooms are fine; all as expected. Other than location! And lots of travelers make this “mistake”. Marriott - clarify your advertising. Poor rating is due to location. Otherwise, a 3 star.
Everything about my stay at Renaissance Atlanta Concourse was amazing. The location, front desk, room service, dining staff and bartender all top tier.
My dining experience each morning (4), was great. Weveleyn is simply a Sweetheart, and then there is TRINITY! Always with a smile, and made sure our breakfast was exactly as ordered. The bartender Kamal is so kind and his drinks were spot on everytime.
This is my Atlanta go to!
Thank Atlanta Renaissance Concourse for amazing service which made my stay amazing!
My experience in the restaurant was very pleasant! Between Wevelyn and Trinity my visits were delightful! They expressed extreme concern for my enjoyment and experience in the restaurant. They informed me about the option to have omelette and waffles in addition to the buffet.
The service was top tier!!!
Thank you for making us feel special!
We had 2 servers that went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant! Trinity was our server at breakfast and Jocelyn was our server for dinner. Floyd the manager was also very pleasant.
Had amazing experience in outstanding customer service at the restaurant with Jocelyn and Triity! Fife star AAA!
Thank you!!!
Conveniently located near the airport, hotel shuttle is convenient. The staff is professional and friendly. Front desk host Annette is fantastic! She went above and beyond to ensure I had a comfortable stay. Thank you, Annette!
This is a long overdue review of the Renaissance. I have stayed here over the years for work. The staff has always been so kind and accommodating every time I stay here. A special shout out to Wevelynn at the breakfast cafe for her warm smiles every single day, every single time I see her. She anticipates our needs before it’s even asked, from refills to boxes or cups for to go items. She makes it feel like coming home.
Flew my dad to Atlanta as a surprise for his birthday to do a bunch of airplane/delta type stuff. We stayed at renaissance hotel so we could have balcony rooms overlooking the runways. It was easy to have dinner at the hotel, and that’s where we met Shandi. She took perfect care of us, making sure we never lacked anything we needed, and doing so with the warmest smile ever. She made my dad’s birthday complete with a cheesecake surprise. I’ve never felt more at home while being away from home. Hugs to Shandi for adding to dad’s birthday weekend.
Very misleading advertisement to refer to this as a concourse hotel. I’m sure it’s intended to lead travelers to believe they are staying at the actual airport. NO. You have to take a shuttle just like any other hotel. SHAME on Renaissance!
Excellent food. The best of our stay in US which included 6 states
I would come back in a heart beat.
Shandi was just sublime. Best waitress of our fortnight
We visited the restaurant in the hotel and our sever was Wevelyn and she was super attentive and super nice, I truly do recommend.
I had a wonderful experience at the renaissance hotel. We checked in on Saturday night and decided to eat down stairs at the restaurant and we had the most amazing and genuinely caring Server named Balsam. She attended us and was exceptional. Very friendly and took her time with us and made sure we had everything we needed. She really took care of us. What a great experience we had. Truly recommend the Renaissance Hotel. Was very convenient at the airport. Even had a shuttle outside the concourse to take us straight there. Definitely will be coming back. I’ve already told all my friends about it. The ambience was very pleasant, and had a professional vibe but very cozy at the same time. Rooms were very clean and well kept. Everything was within reach. Complimentary coffee at the lobby was great. Noise level was comfortable not crazy. Finally the price was fair and reasonable considering everything I mentioned. Truly amazing.
They were crafty creators con was a great experience. I had great time. The crafty creators had taught great things. I was glad to be a part of it.
Everyone one at this hotel was fantastic with their service and friendliness from outside, the front desk and the restaurant. There were two individuals outside that were AMAZING, and went above & beyond! Mr. Bill was always trying help myself and my mother out, who is mostly in a scooter. Bill went out of his way to find us transportation. He also got something for my mother after they talked about knee issues. He waited for us to return from a museum, and gave to her. We were overwhelmed, and will never forget his beautiful gesture. Second, Robert took us on the shuttle and was always making sure at every stop, my mother was taking care of getting on the shuttle ramp while she was being elevated sitting in her scooter. He was genuine, kind and caring! We will never forget both these individuals in how they went above and beyond. Loved that these two guys took care of my mother, and myself, and won't forget! Thank you to them, and the others. We will be back!
I booked this Atlanta Airport thinking it was the one on monorail route you take to the car rental center- only to find out that is the GATEWAY Renaissance when I attempted to check in. I didn’t expect for there to be TWO Renaissance properties at the same airport. This one is on the other side of the airport complex and can be reached via a dedicated shuttle outside the airport.
It is comfortable and quiet, although a bit of an older property with an (maybe 90’s?) atrium design. The room had some wear and dings but overall it was clean and functional- best thing was the quiet (despite being on the North side of the airport grounds, I think adjacent to the Delta hangers and museum). I appreciated a very comfortable bed with nice linens. I also had a good meal at the onsite restaurant/bar which is open till midnight. I found it a bit on the pricey side for the atmosphere/vibe of the place, but the food was well prepared, there were some good wines available by the glass, and the service was attentive.
Shandi had great customer service and was amazing! Very attentive and helpful will be coming back to see her ! The manager gave 5 star service as well. Both excellent and made my stay worth being here !
