SpringHill Suites by Marriott Springfield Southwest

Very clean hotel. Excellent breakfast buffet with great selection including vegetarian. They had the most helpful and friendly staff at breakfast. Everyone enjoyed breakfast, especially the grandchildren. The exercise room and pool were small but clean.

From the moment we parked our big Ram truck to our leaving the property this morning, our experiences at this Springhill Suites were impeccable.

Front desk staff on duty about 4 on 12/21 were gracious and very efficient. I had several requests to include top floor, away from elevators, extra set of towels , no connecting room...all honored perfectly !!

The gathering area for breakfast, conversation, playing games was very clean and well lit. Elevators worked perfectly and were very clean.

Springhill's model is similar from property to property with slight differences in decorating and layout of rooms. I was amazed at the insane number of electrical outlets and ports. The "kitchen" area had a nice landing area. Microwave and small mini fridge were tastefully hidden behind a small door but very accessible.

The bathroom shower is a good size with great lighting. It even had a nightlight.

The breakfast was substantial and the area very clean. Three staff people were constantly cleaning and refreshing the offerings.

The clerk on duty this morning was cheerful and friendly.

We definitely will patronize this property when we need to stay in Springfield,IL.

We have stayed there twice in the last couple of months. The staff is very friendly and the property is well maintained. The hotel has been open for four years or so, but appears brand new! The breakfast is extensive and tasty, and you won't leave hungry. We talked with the owner and he stated "we have a great staff".
The only downside is the doors to the rooms are heavy and make a noise when shutting them.

This was an excellent place to stay during our three day visit to Springfield. Every staff person we encountered was friendly and the breakfast was amazingly good, even offering plant based energy balls and a different egg dish every day. We thought the location might be a bit far from the historic sites but it was only a seven minute drive to downtown. Highly recommended.

This nearly new hotel is the best Springhill Suites I’ve ever stayed at.

It’s in a newly developed area on the edge of the city, but fit our needs perfectly while on a motorcycle trip. There’s a brewpub next-door and a Mexican restaurant that’s pretty decent about 200 yards away.

People who stance this marquee will instantly recognize the room. It was spotless, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was above average. I thought the breakfast tacos were a nice touch. Most of the time I can’t eat the breakfast anymore.

The swimming pool is small, but it’ll be fine for most kids and the workout room is excellent.

As a Marriott Rewards lifetime platinum member I feel I know the brand well and this hotel is a poster child for what this brand should be.

This very new hotel was very nice for the night. It's a few miles from the airport, not much that seems to be close (it's easy on/off the highway). The gym was nice and large; perhaps better than most full service Marriott options, breakfast seemed standard for this type of property. If you're looking for a nice new property when in the area, this would be a good fit. Very friendly staff too.

Beautiful property, well maintained. Comfort beds, quiet. Very clean rooms & common areas. All staff very friendly, kind & helpful. Breakfast buffet amazing- tasty, hot foods hot, well stocked & attended; breakfast staff came around dining area pouring coffee. We have been spending 2 weeks in different hotels & this by far rated on the top. Thank you.

The staff at this hotel is the friendliest and most accommodating that i have encountered in a long time. I stayed at this hotel for four days for a business trip and every morning management and staff were at breakfast to greet me, ask me if i found everything, and to clear my table. They provided recommendations for local places to see and eat.

Such a nice hotel. Exceeded expectations. Appreciated the well lit parking lot. Area felt very safe and room was clean, modern, & comfortable. Breakfast was great too. The teenagers with us used the pool which was very nice despite it being small. Would definitely recommend.

The service is excellent! The staff here go above and beyond! Clean rooms, beds are very comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and front desk was warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again when visiting family in the area.

I wanted so badly to give this hotel 5 stars, but I just couldn't. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The TV was fantastic. The WiFi worked well. Everything seemed great. However, two things happened that took the rating down. First, it took us a while to figure out that the thermostat on the wall did not control the heat in the room. Also, some genius thought it would be a good idea to install a shelf in such a way as to make it nearly impossible to change the settings on the AC! Lastly, we called down twice to report the people above us banging around for more than an hour. The response from the front desk on the second time was, “I knocked on the door and no one answered.” I thought to myself, “Then call the police!” Eventually, they did get the people to answer the door and quiet down.

I decided overnight here while traveling through the area. It was a good choice.

It’s a lovely, clean, modern hotel. Good housekeeping and maintenance are evident, as the common areas and my room all seem to brand new.

Great location with no personal safety concerns. Just a couple hundred yards from Scheels. There is a nice little brewpub almost on property. There’s also a Mexican restaurant (which I did not have a chance to try) a half block away.

Just a short distance to many places to visit and shop. Well-lit exterior, immaculate and spacious room, clean common spaces

Bigger suites than some of the other hotels around the area in the same price point. More attractive rooms and better quality of bedding. The showers and their Tea-Tree toiletries are so good you could shower for an hour.. Pool, gym, office space the usual facilities just appear nicer. Friendly staff. Did I mention the never-ending breakfast with amazing variety and quality for free breakfast. It is just located at the edge of the city at this time built in the subdivision that is coming up but everything is drivable in 5-10 minutes. There is a pub/restaurant next door, Scheels for shoppers adjacent.

My stay at the Springfield was great! I stopped in for one night on a trip from California to the Midwest and the property had everything I needed. There’s a brew pub next-door which was perfect. The customer service at the hotel was great and I would return again.
