Nous avons apprécié :
- l'emplacement (proximité de grandes artères commerciales et du quartier de Gion)
- la dimension de la chambre et la qualité de ses équipements notamment des éclairages
- l'accès inclus à la "lounge" et à ses prestations
- la disponibilité et l'amabilité du personnel

8.5/9 out of 10. Enjoyed our stay a little fine-tuning would make it perfect.
Pros:

Great location, access to food, stores etc was amazing bed was comfortable size of room for two adults one kid.

Cons:

With only two elevators, it drove me nuts that every time you got in the elevator and we’re going to room it would stop at level four which was the main lobby it just slowed everything down and made no sense whatsoever. I also asked to book a cab and they told me it was gonna be a 30 to 40 minute wait which seemed a little crazy and we said oh we’ll just go out and call one from the street well little to my knowledge, there’s a taxi stand that runs right in front of the hotel if they would’ve told me that it would’ve made perfect sense instead they just told me 30 to 40 minute wait so a little fine-tuning there would’ve been much better. The shower room also had a little bit of a musty smell.

Pros:

Location and the extremely helpful staff

Cons:

The room layouts were not very convenient as the wash basin was outside the bathroom and one could see people inside the bathroom from the glass window behind the washbasin. This kind of setup is ok for couples but not very convenient for a family with teens.

Great stay for sightseeing & shopping.

Tres bel hotel bien placé dans Kyoto !
Pros:

Emplacement parfait dans Kyoto, station de métro, centres commerciaux, Nishiki market, nombreux restaurants aux alentours !
Les chambres sont très belles, calmes et confortables. Le petit déjeuner est bon même di le choix est limité (pas de chocolat chaud par exemlle) et le personnel d’accueil très efficace ! Nous avons également testé le service de netoyage « Fuwarabo » conseillé par l’hotel et en étions ravis, ainsi que du transfert très simple pour les grosses valises vers l’hotel suivant.

Cons:

Seuls points négatifs : le choix limité du petit dej et surtout les ascenceurs ! En effet les 4 premiers étages sont ouverts au public et il y a seulement 2 ascenseurs mis a disposition pour tout le monde et pas d’escalier ni escalator pour monter aux chambres mis a part ces deux ascenceurs. Malheureusement cela se traduit par beaucoup d’attente à chaque fois et des ascenceurs bondés ce qui est assez désagréable.

Beautiful hotel in great location but noisy at night
Pros:

Best location in the heart of town, 2 min walk from Gion and Pontocho Alley, Nishiki market 5 min, really clean, staff very nice. Beautiful hotel.

Cons:

For 5 star hotel having no door man or anyone to help with bags was a bit funny. But my main issue was the noise from the main road. Even though we didn’t face the road at night time you could hear the the cars driving past and even the pedestrian crossing blind sound aid. Ask for inner courtyard view room and you’ll be fine! They gave me ear plugs when I asked and offered another room but I deemed the noise was same. Windows are not double glazed unfortunately
