Excellent choice as a base to explore Kyoto from.
Pros:

Location is fantastic - with a link bridge to the adjacent Takashimaya we were able to avoid the rain and cold when heading to the train station. Location is also right off Teramachi Shopping Street and Nikishi Market, and there are tons of great local restaurants and coffee shops around.

The hotel itself is beautifully appointed and super clean and comfortable. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cons:

Breakfast was a balanced and fresh spread but almost the same food each day. We stayed 6 nights so we had hoped there would be a bit more variation in the offerings.

I would definetely recommend
Pros:

The property was clean, very close to shops and the train station. Everyone was very friendly and the breakfast was really good!

Cons:

Everything was great only thing I would say is that if you are super sensitive with noise you will be able to hear the cars.

Great, comfortable and clean room - very comfortable bedding! We liked the atmosphere at and style of the hotel, contemporay, green and sustainable. Excellent location. Friendly and professional staff.

Great Place to stay if in Kyoto
Pros:

Too many things, Such a beautiful Hotel and location. The Good Nature Store and Even kitchen was perfect. Breakfast great (not a fan of pork and seafood). The Burgers from the restaurant Amazing a tad on the small side for size but still amazing.
Clean beautiful setting, very helpful front desk team.

Cons:

The diffuser smell when ever you walk in. Not sure what it was but it had a kick.
Beyond that no complaints- Would definitely go again

Definitely coming back here in the future
Pros:

The location was perfect, close to a lot of sights and really good shopping. Just a few minute walk to the subway station and other train stations. The breakfast was delicious and high quality. Staff was super helpful. The room itself was also spacious and extremely comfortable.
