My husband and I had an amazing experience at the Manchester Hyatt. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming. Lauren wanted to ensure that my husband and I had an exceptional stay since it was a special celebration visit. Our room/bathroom was spotless and the mattress was very comfortable. The room had a beautiful view of the marina, water and Coronado bridge. One thing I noticed and appreciated was the fact that the toiletries were high-end and the tissues were a good brand - not the sand paper stuff you often get elsewhere. Overall, our stay was one of the nicest holidays we've experienced in a long time. I highly recommend this hotel for its location, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms and for the great amenities.
It was our first time staying at the Grand Hyatt San Diego. We came down with the family for spring break. Hospitality begins the minute you walk through the front door. Jasmine B helped us at the front desk. She was such a blessing. When you have kids in tow she made everything so easy. Her spirit and smile can light up anyones day. We are so grateful for her guidance. It was a beautiful property. We referred other family and friends to this property because of the service. This will be a family trip the kids wont forget!
Valet David was very helpful and patient, helping me find my phone that was left in my car.
Will make this my go to hotel everytime I'm in San Diego. Make sure to get a room facing the sea. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!
Great location, and clean and decent hotel.
The staff are very helpful.
Room is quiet and clean.
The view is great as well.
ALBERT MERIDA and RYAN FROST went Above and Beyond with communication and room accommodations. Upgraded to Presidential suite in Harbor Tower with BEST VIEWS of San Diego bay and city. Thought it was April Fool’s joke at first. Both Ryan and Albert are THE reason why we’re coming back again very soon. Across the board, GLOBALIST experience was best ever. Manchester sets bar exceptionally high. THANK YOU Manchester Team for providing the most relaxing and pleasant stay during very busy conference season and spring break. Lovely Property. Overall 20 out of 10.
Always beautiful, wonderful location with the great staff, pool needs to be upgraded, upgraded rooms that I've been refreshed are beautiful and terrific.
We just stayed one night, but we were pleased with the overall experience. We had a lovely view from our 17th floor room window overlooking the bay. The staff was helpful and accommodating.
Great hotel. But rooms on 9th floor smell like cigarette smoke. Food and drinks prices are very high. Great service though.
As a Hyatt Globalist member, I had high expectations for this stay—but unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had with the brand.
I reached out to the hotel several days before arrival, yet never received a response—even after my stay ended. I eventually booked through the Global Concierge, but none of my requests were acknowledged at check-in. Despite arriving early, I had to wait until after 1:30 PM for my room. When I returned later, the staff member who had assisted me in the morning did not remember me, and I had to explain everything again. I later realized that no information about hotel facilities had been provided, forcing me to search online myself. The front desk staff were also not particularly welcoming, which added to the frustration.
The room itself was not properly cleaned. There were leftover food crumbs on the chair and visible food stains on the table—something that should never happen at this level of hotel.
The club lounge experience was equally disappointing. Breakfast and evening offerings were both far below expectations. Despite having an egg station, scrambled eggs dominated the already limited breakfast selection, while toppings like mushrooms took up much of the space. There were very few actual food options, and even basic items like ranch dressing were missing.
Dinner was even worse—it felt more like light snacks than a proper meal. There was no substantial protein option such as chicken. Out of three hot dishes, two were dumplings and the third was a spinach dip. The menu felt careless and lacked effort. If I had paid out of pocket for this stay, I would have been extremely upset.
In contrast, I stayed at the Irvine Regency last winter for about 10 days, and although the selection was not extensive, it was well-prepared and varied daily. This property, however, did not come close to that standard.
This was my first stay as a Globalist, and I honestly could not feel any difference compared to when I held a lower-tier status. It made me question whether the effort to achieve Globalist status was truly worth it.
While the location is excellent for visiting San Diego, the hotel itself does not live up to the reputation of the Hyatt brand. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property to others, as it diminished the positive experiences I’ve had with Hyatt in the past.
Really bad experience with wifi, room amenities , this was my nth visit here, this was the worst experience, hope this can be sorted
Room was left unmade, not checked twice by housekeeping. Check your bill
carefully. We were double charged for parking on multiple days. Glasses and ice bucket not cleaned in room. Hotel offered credit at the top of the hotel bar, not given. Breakfast buffet great and service there great. Make sure Lobby bathrooms are in working order or boy do you have a long walk to an escalator to get to another floor! This went on for 4 days!
During the day the lobby bar or bites isn’t open so if you want to relax there and have a conversation, bring your own!
The Best location overall. clean and excellent facility. Gym was clean and had all the equipment with clean towels. Breakfast buffet was better than expected.
Staying at this hotel is such an awesome experience. It rates top notch in every aspect, the huge, marble lobby area would seem cold and distant, but instead is very welcoming and grand. The staff ranging from wait staff at the Top of the Hyatt to housekeeping were all smiles and look like they love their jobs. The Landing is a comfortable place to relax. The breakfast buffet is so good. The room facing the bay is mesmerizing. The atmosphere, service, food, everything is such a wonderful experience. Rave, rave, rave.
One of the hotels I recommend Tourists is coming to stay in San Diego. It’s a little bit of a luxury stuff you can afford it. I would definitely stay here. It has a great view of San Diego, Harbour and Bay. It is right next to the Seaport village. Just a short walk from historic gaslamp. I stayed with friends here on New Year’s Eve. Was pleased to note they had events planned for all ages. Even a balloon drop!
Make sure when visiting you check out the top
Of the Hyatt for amazing drinks and views.
Very attentive staff. Food was great but on the expensive side.
Room was very nicely appointed with a great harbor view.
The experience at the hotel was great! Staff were welcoming and the hotel was very nice and clean. Would definitely book again!
Staff went above and beyond to meet my request. No expected but very nice! Great location in San Diego for family or couples travel!
Ive stayed at a few Hyatts and this is by far my favorite. First, Kudos to Kris at the check-in desk. I had some barriers to checking in and Kris made everything smooth as can be. Thank you Kris.
Pros:
1. Location, location, location. I went for a conference at the San Diego Convention Center. The location allowed for a crisp morning walk to the convention hall. It wasn't too long at all. Also, the proximity to downtown San Diego is ideal.
2. Room quality. My room was great. I had a corner room with a view that was very clean. The bathroom and bedroom lighting was spectacular. Everything worked well.
3. Service. It all started with Kris. However, throughout bthe trip I ran out of a few toiletries. Guest service delivered to my room within minutes of my request.
Cons: the pool in-between the towers was not operational when I was there. I imagine after renovations or maintenance it will be amazing. It looks like the views would be outstanding to have poolside.

We had a great stay at Manchester Grand Hyatt! The room was great and the view of the pool and harbor was beautiful. The location was terrific. The service was top notch! Our car wouldn’t start as we were leaving, but Jake T. at the valet was incredibly helpful! He got his own tools out to help us pop the jammed hood and then helped us start the car. We so appreciated his help!
