I like the newish blackout curtains on the window.
Reception provided me with two extra pillows.
The updated menu at the restaurant has wider range of food altho the service is patchy.
The room was not nice and the table next to the bed was broken. Also charged €15 two times and though I messaged the hotel, I never heard back. The reason I gave 2 stars and not 1 star is because the staff were very nice.
Great location - right next to train station but not noisy! Very friendly staff :-) My only negatives are the very loud (old) air conditioning - much needed as it was hot - & the lack of a kettle in the room.
In all great hotel convenient as it is close to the train station. Staff were good. Facilities were okay.
Small room, OK view. basic and convenient to the train station and metro.
Its right next to the train station, and its very convenient. However, the room is very small, especially the bathroom. Also, the AC is weak and not cool enough during summer. Location is very good, as its close to several car rental companies.
It was nice and comfortable stay in this hotel, quickly accessible from the Gare
Room key issues and the picture are excellent to the point that it’s misleading, great for an overnight stay but not for a week long stay
The hotel was really good except that it was so difficult to find. It is so badly signposted that we were unable to find it despite being so close to the station. Some signs would have made the walk so much easier. It should have taken minutes but it took more than 1/2 an hour and even people who we asked/ taxi drivers and other hotel workers said it is so tricky to find.
The location is convenient and safe. As a solo traveller, I would have appreciated a chain on the door for more peace of mind.
The room was incredibly basic but the shared areas are inviting. On one side of the bed the springs were broken, as I was by myself I just moved over but if I was with someone it would have been unbearable.
If you just need a bed to crash, this place is well connected.
Super convenient if you have to catch an early morning train.
Just a stay over, but very impressed
This hotel has a great location, but that is about it. I spent two nights here due to the location, but next time I will pick somewhere else. The overall impression of this Ibis hotel is sloppy and that it is not very well managed.
On day 1, I can see that there is only one elevator serving my section of the hotel, and I am on the top floor. Just saying to me myself:”Hope this elevator will not give up in the next two days!” It took less than 24 hours!
I came down for breakfast before 9 am on day 2, and that was obviously far too late. No juice or water, coffee machines that needed service, very poor selection of bread and all the various fruit jams were long gone. I have seen hundreds of breakfast buffets in different hotel categories, but this one easily qualifies among the worst three I have seen. I cannot believe you can charge customers for the breakfast buffet in its current condition. I went across to the train station and got a very good breakfast!
Then there are all the minor things like key cards that do not work (on several occasions in 24 hours), and hotel rooms in dire need of TLC. I am not referring to cleaning, but rather the interior decoration which reminds me of East German fashion circa 1975.
This hotel has a lot going for it, but today they do not deliver, considering price and service. I stayed at another Ibis in Lyon recently (similar category), so I know that Ibis knows what good looks like!
Small rooms but good place to stay for an early morning train trip.
Perfect quick stop, seconds from the major train station!
Horrible experience about security of building. Someone was knocking on my door at 1am without stopping. My husband had to yell and threaten to call the police for person to go away. I thought someone was trying to gain access to my room to rob us. They did not say a word, only banging on the door. There is a vulnerable spot as lifts can be operated without electronic keys. I felt very scared and unsafe. We called the concierge and asked for someone to check CCTV. No one got back to us with an explanation or apology. NEVER going back there. Thank god it happened on my last night anyway.
An ideal hotel when travelling by train. Just a very short walk across the road from main station. Hotel quite basic but the room was comfortable and clean. There is a bar with outside seating. Bearing in mind how close it is to train station the area was very quiet at night.
Friendly & helpful staff, a clean & simple room, next to the train station. Can’t go wrong with that!! Overall happy stay.
Tiny room, smelly beds. The AC did not run well although I set at 17C or lower. One light in the bathroom was broken, the toilet seat was also broken. The beds were not flat, and u comfortable. I toon the video of the hotel, and could not upload since onky photos are allowed here.
Great place to stay with easy access to the train station.
