Apartamento minúsculo, pintura muito rudimentar, falta de prateleiras, roupeiro ou apoio para colocar as malas que tinham de ficar no chão, tornando assim ainda mais exíguo o espaço
It’s close to the town centre
Very noisy in the morning, the owner Carlos offered us a tour for 350 euros for 4 people, we found a similar tour with another agent for 130 euros. We would have paid 200 but 350 was a rip off.

The place was really clean. The staff are really nice and the location is good. The air conditioning was quiet and the shower worked great.
The owner tried to make us pay for a room upgrade, but when we refused, we realised they did not have the room we booked available. They gave us the upgrade for free. We paid 15 euros for a return transfer to the airport, but the owner squeezed us into a rental car with another couple, who were not aware of the situation. It was really awkward. We ended up not asking to be left at the airport, but we were not offered a discount. The wifi did not work for us. I think there are better options in Principe.
Ziemlich nahe am Zentrum gelegen
Zunächst hatten wir, entgegen unserer Buchung, ein Zimmer mit Gemeinschaftsbad. Auf Anfrage gab es dann ein Zimmer mit eigenem Badezimmer, allerdings hin zur angrenzenden Tankstelle.
Entgegen anderer Bewertungen war es eher mühsam, Carlos Informationen oder gar eine Organisation eines Fahrers zu entlocken
The rooms are clean and affordable, and the hotel is near the center of Santo António, offering a decent breakfast.
The rooms are very small, and when booking, it's not clear if they have a private bathroom. So, I asked the owner before arriving, and they confirmed that we had a private bathroom. Upon arriving, we found out that this was not true. The owner will try to sell you a € 10 breakfast per person per day, which is decent but not good enough for the price. The owner is very rude, and the rest of the staff are nice. The room window turned into a gas station, so the rooms smelled of gasoline all day and night long. Any additional activity is expensive. The hotel owner can arrange a guide, a car, or a boat, but you will pay a ridiculous price. Consider hiring a local guide and asking around for a tour, as it's often a more cost-effective option.
The facilities and food was very nice and Carlos was a great host - he helped us out a lot with activities!
Unfortunately some money went missing from one of our rooms that made us feel a bit a unsafe and created some problem since cash is king on that island (however, we should probably not have left anything in the rooms since there were no safety boxes)
Carlos was really helpful with the planning our stay at Principe. We certainly made the most out of our 3 days there. The hotel is perfectly situated in San Antonio to walk to the restaurants at night. Residencial Brigada is a good price - quality hotel.
We booked the smallest room but it was easy to make an upgrade.

The hotel is good value for money in an otherwise expensive property island,. Carlos did a nice job to arrange the boat trip and car rental (with a lovely driver:guide) for 3 of us staying at his hotel. Carlos can arrange for a price the airport to hotel pick up and meals .. I had a breakfast which was very good.

Employees were nice, the family were very bad people, place to avoid at all cost unless you want to get scammed and pay overpriced services.
They will try to scam you every single day. Super overpriced tours, car rentals, taxis and food services. Just ask local people, the hotel owner will be happy to steal from. Nasty men.
