Pros: Big room with windows in main area and bathroom | Comfortable bed | Power sockets were in the right places | Free coffee | Right at metro stop (though no lift access)
Cons: Area around hotel didn't feel quite as safe - though card access is required to get into the building and security was there | No USB power sockets| No moisturiser | Only one toilet for men and one for women
Ja
I hate to give this hotel a 1 star but unfortunately our experience with them after check out has led to this. We arrived on 15 Aug at 11:30pm and were hit with a €500 deposit, after looking back at the booking we realised we missed the T&C about being charged a deposit when we arrived, and being there for 7 days, this is why ours was so high, we had to suck it up and accept we'd made a mistake.
Regardless, I have never ever experienced a hotel just taking the money from you rather than just having a card on file in case any money needs to be deducted. We are a couple in our mid 20s and without family members being able to send us the €500 we would have been without any spending money for the remainder of our trip.
When we checked out, we did the refund process to get the €500 back, as of course, we left the room in the condition we found it. It has now been almost 6 weeks (checked out on 22 Augut, currently writing this on 28 Sept) and we have not received the money from the hotel.
We have called the hotel and they claim it's their French bank, who "sometimes takes up to a month to return money to international accounts", but they're more than happy to immediately take money from you with no month waiting time. It seems completely unfeasible that an international chain of hotels cannot handle payments to international bank accounts, and it's really not good enough.
We are now in debt to the family members who gave us the €500 and just want it back, please!!
Accessibility great
But the whole city in that area is a bit d
This is a fine hotel in the Vieux Port area, only a few hundred metres from the actual port. Dog friendly, dogs allowed in the breakfast area. Good standard breakfast. If you come by car I recommend not to try to drive to the hotel entrance but to the closest parking garage which is only like 200 metres walking distance away.
i have no complain at at during my stay ☺️ the staff are so friendly, the room was clean.
Hotel was in a convenient area for us. Close to the train station, and areas we had in mind for visiting. Refreshing water was in a jug at reception for when you arrived. Would stay again
Nice staff.
Lovely hotel, near everything and clean
Good location
Reasonable breakfast
Nice staff
Somehow noisy streets
There was a bad smell each time I step into the room. Needs to find a solution
the hotel is very nice, very good location, staffs are super friendly.
but my room is quite small, hard to fit in two with luggages.
Très bien situé.
Hotel is clean and nice. Located in the center of city, which is convenient but also dirty, highly congested and mixed crowds.
In my opinion this wasn't a 4 star hotel, but rather 3 or 3.5 at most, everything was very average. The entrance and lobby wasn't so welcoming, the room had only one small wardrobe, no shoe rack, TV was from like 10 years ago, the bathroom was clean but only one shampoo for both hair and body?! Breakfast was very disappointing, the 4 star hotels I've been to had proper buffets with a variety of omlettes, here they only had average scrambled eggs.
hotel very dirty front desk service so bad.
Excellent location 8 minute walk from Marseille St Charles station arriving from Lyon, also 8 minutes to the old harbour Vieux Port busiest place with all the sights and restaurants around. Tram stop just in front on the line to Palais Longchamp. Whereas you can take the airport shuttle from St Charles, taxi cost us €90!
Good clean comfortable room with minibar and electric kettle but no bottled water provided. Friendly courteous and helpful staff, Julia and others. Didn’t manage on our last day to get a late lunch just after 2 as their restaurant Capucin also open to the street had closed. Will stay again.
Veldig fint hotel, vi var på firmatur med 22personer og hadde det fantastisk
