Travelodge by Wyndham Thunder Bay ON

Room was outdated, dirty, strong moldy odour, felt like I was in a horror movie. Curtains didn’t fully cover windows which gave directly onto parking. Full view into the room.

Rooms are dated curtains do not close all the way and light comes through the window. Light switches broken and I could see the wires in the bathroom. No ground floor rooms available, elevator broken as well and has been for a while. According to staff not easy getting elder people up the stairs, front lobby and rooms smell musty. Breakfast provided was gross at best. Will never be returning.

The cleanliness, the smell

1) cleanliness of the room.
2) the room was probably last updated 25 plus yeas ago.
3) elevator was not functioning, had been out of order for some time.
4) pool was closed and had been for some time.
5) gym room was closed and had no equipment.
6) furniture in the lobby was stained, dirty and disgusting.
7) overall the whole place needs a good fire.

The internet did not work, the pillows were not comfortable at all they were like flat old pillows, there were no cups for coffee, and no chair to sit on had to sit on the bed, the t.v had shows but I had no idea what channels were there or if they had satellite or just cable.. I wanted to call and ask the front desk individual I regards to these issues, but they were not useful when I arrived.
Upon arriving, the desk person didn't welcome me. I was just telling them that "I am checking," and they just mumbled I.d. I couldn't hear them or totally understand them. So I asked, "What?" They said I.d. again, I double-checked with my husband if that is what they wanted.
I showed my I.d. and they were trying to read it. I told them my name, and they said yes.
Then they mumbled some words again, so I asked, "What?" And they pinted to a paper on the desk which said the deposit of 150.00.
So I went to pay where they were standing and they pointed to the machine on the other side.
So then they gave me my keys and pointed said down the hall.
So, at this.point I am frustrated and know that they individual would not be able to assist me further. I understand that english may not be their first language, which fair, but it didn't make me feel confident in the staffing.
In the morning, when checking out, I mentioned to th front desk individual about the internet issue, and right away, they said really wow what room again. I told them 112. They said well you are really close to the internet, so I do not know. Did you follow the instructions when attempting to connect? I said "yes," and they proceeded to explain the step of connecting and asked if I did all that . I said "yes"
Well, you are the first person that I know of that happening too. So sorry for that.

Place was grungy run down worn moldy in places fridge not working faucet leaking

I didn't like that the pool was closed but it wasn't posted on line so when I booked the room I was looking forward to the pool but when I removed the pool was closed for most of my day I was very disappointed

Tout est trop vieux la dedans. Tout ! Les corridors sont bien , les chambres sont vieilles, les salles de bains sont dépassés et totalement à refaire.
La piscine est très mal éclairée, le belle cassée, tout l’aménagement est trop vieux et désuet.
Le déjeuner le matin est très moyen. Obligé de passer d’abord au comptoir (et attendre longtemps) pour avoir un voucher. Salle du déjeuner très très petite.
