The freedom and some of the staff we’re the best really beyond and above
The site. I was in the smallest room but the biggest site. Loved it coming back to that room I don’t need more then that
Pleasantly surprised. Clean and great views .
Spectacular view 🤩
I understand that the cost at the restaurant and bar is very high.
Great breakfast and hospitality!
The views from Mafolie are genuinely spectacular above Charlotte Amalie harbor with panoramic views. The restaurant staff were warm and attentive. Would recommend for sunset drinks and dinner.
The noise level was a real issue both late at night and early morning, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. The hilltop location, while beautiful, means you're completely dependent on taxis to get anywhere. The included breakfast was disappointing , basic and not particularly fresh.
The Restaurant had a good breakfast which was provided free with price of room. Friendly restaurant staff was quick to comply to a request for speedy service due to an upcoming taxi arrival. Great view! We didn't experience the restaurant's dinner because it was closed on that day. As for the room, the only positive was clean beddings and towels.
The gal at check-in was not the usual smiling, welcoming and cheerful Caribbean person we've grown accustomed to, but simply processed our check-in. The hotel room looked NOTHING like the bright, inviting photo online. Instead the immediate reaction upon opening the door was... small and dingy with old furniture needing replacement. The sofa did not look clean enough to sit on. There was mold in shower and NO SOAP provided for sink or shower.
Location views were great!
Very dated they need a lot of updating. The bushes and plant were over grown. Also , though we are accustomed to island prices. This was one of the more expensive.
Best thing about this place is the views. Absolutely beautiful. Staff were all so kind and also helped us with a last minute re-book because of a missed flight. The restaurant and bar were great. Food, drinks and breakfast was amazing. The bartenders were so friendly and kind as well. Would definitely stay again if we decided to visit St Thomas again in the future. (The slush offered in the front was sooo good)
We were only in the room 5 minutes and the power went out. Maybe for 5 minutes. Only happened once more during our 5 day stay. Maybe some small water bottles in the fridge would be nice as it’s very hot and humid on the island
The check in process was easy. We were greeted with a seasonal welcome drink and offered to leave our bags while we enjoyed the pool. Our room had the most amazing view of the water. The restaurant served delicious food for breakfast. We were pleasantly surprised that breakfast consisted of fresh cooked plates ordered from a menu. The coffee was very good as well. Our room was well equipped with shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and soap. The kitchen had basic kitchen supplies. You can purchase alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages from the man office, which was convenient. We rented a car and the Mafolie had plenty of parking. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
You can't walk anywhere, except maybe the local restaurant, Sibs, if you are extremely careful. Sins had breakfast, lunch and dinner so that was helpful. The view made it worth it!
We booked one night here before boarding out Catamaran and it was an excellent choice! The views were phenomenal, the staff was incredible and the FOOD! Amazing. Every meal we had was 10/10, even breakfast that was included. The bartender Shelby made our dinner fantastic and I would absolutely stay here again.
Food was good and staff attentive
Quieter room
By far the best dining experience I’ve had in St. Thomas. The view makes you put your beer down, which is rare for me. Inside, you feel like you’re stepping into a piece of old St. Thomas and greeted like an old friend. Excellent food. Can’t wait to go back.
This hotel is very remote from any other activity on the island. It has a restaurant and it was delicious however very pricey for dinner. The views make it worth it all. The taxi’s were $75-$95 every time we had to leave. We are a family of 5 and stayed only one night. The water didn’t work in our room and when it did the pressure was off. The toilet is not set properly. The main issue is NO COFFEE or pot in the full kitchen. The balcony view from our villa was lovely except the railing was not stable. The front desk staff was kind but not overwhelming inviting or anything. Water bottles in the room would be a nice, common gesture also. It is really close to a busy mountain road and can be loud. There is no privacy in hall bathroom in bath the also. It has some quaint aspects to it, but lacks a good bit in my opinion.
I love that this is a locally owned property with a great restaurant. The view is incredible. I like that it is run by a family, a small business owner. Some of the rooms are really cute and some are okay. It's an older hotel. Charming. Funky. Parking is a challenge. The people on site are great. It's a budget-friendly option.
There are much nicer resorts on the island but they're also very expensive.
Great hotel, unbelievable views, excellent staff, kind of rustic, great restaurant!
