From the moment we arrived in our car and the service was impeccable. Checkin was so smooth and fast. Delivery of bags to room while we went of on our adventure was an amazing experience. Staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and professional. Room was cosy, clean and amazing view of darling harbour. I definitely will recommend this hotel to friends and family. Only issue was I didn’t stay long enough at the hotel.

All staff are greeted and dedicated. So pleased to stay in Shangri-La. Also, it has an incredible view with both the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. I couldn't recommend it here more.
I really enjoyed the overall experience, from the concierge and lobby attendants to the front desk staff, who were all welcoming and professional. The room was spacious, and the facilities were excellent. We also ordered breakfast, and the food was delicious. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

location was very good. The staff were good but were stomped each morning at breakgfast at the Horizon Club. Wrong drink orders deliverd to table or waiting for 20 minutes for hot drinks seemed to be a little too long to wait.
We have stayed at the Shangri-La many times and have always enjoyed the Horizon Club experience. However, on this visit we felt that the value of the Horizon Club has declined, particularly in relation to the range of food options available and the level of service provided.
We would also like to suggest that a comprehensive list of ingredients be displayed for all food items offered in the Horizon Club. This is especially important for guests with food allergies or intolerances, including gluten and dairy sensitivities. Clearly identifying ingredients and potential allergens is essential to help guests make informed choices and to reduce the risk of allergic reactions.
Lovely check-in staff, lovely rooms and great views.
Shocking security. My severely disabled and traumatised client traveling with me for hospital treatment had a strange man enter her room (it was under my name as she is under court protection from a stalker) ask her if she was the technician, said he had stayed in it the night before but it was too cold so he and his partner were moved since they do not like wearing clothes, said the toilet was broken told her about his bowel movements, commented that she was older than his partner as she has graying hair but that it was OK and kept hitting his fist against his forehead and saying “I keep forgetting we changed rooms.” I immediately called the hotel management when she alerted me. The response was unsatisfactory. They figured out who the man was and talked to him and he said he accidentally knocked on the wrong door (yet he let himself in as my friend laboured to reach the door) but the hotel said that was impossible. He did not mention his very strange scatalogical and naturist diatribe nor his physical appraisal of my client. They took him at his word. I insisted they visit my friend and they did eventually and moved her to the room below mine. They dismissed security concerns, let him stay in the hotel anyway and told me they could not surveil him 24/7 and apparently considered the matter closed. I have worked in security policy positions at the White House and Pentagon. This is a total abrogation of responsibility for the guests in the hotel. I will be pursuing this further and will need to inform the National Disability Insurance Scheme of the bizarrely lackadaisical response to such a situation. The hotel should refund her room costs at a minimum. Really appalling!
