The Bay Club was a very relaxing and charming ambiance. It is a small hotel with a great view from almost anywhere on the property. Plenty to see and do in walking distance if you are up for it. Since we were not able to get into our room until 4pm without an early check in fee (they should consider lightening up a little on that rule, although I do understand why they have it), my family and I were able to fully enjoy their amenities on the first day. A very chill pool vibe on the day we were there, and the bar was also pleasant for some drinks and a bite to eat.
All in all, my family and I enjoyed staying there very much and I would stay again, especially if I didn't need to get into my room until later in the day.

Wonderful hotel in the best location in San Diego! Helpful front desk, when needed. I had a dresser drawer which wouldn't shut, told the front desk and the repairman was at my room in less than 5 minutes, took 1 minute to fix and he was gone. Views are amazing. Beds are very comfortable. I felt totally safe there, even when I left my sliding glass door open to get some fresh air.

First time to stay at this hotel. The staff were so friendly. Rooms were clean and we enjoyed the restaurant for breakfast every day. This hotel is on Shelter Island and offers a calm and relaxing environment. We will be back.

This was the first time my fiance was in San Diego and I booked this hotel because it had views of the bay we were not disappointed this hotel was perfect the staff was excellent and they made our hotel stay very memorable we will never forget this trip and when we come back we will definitely stay here again the food and drinks were amazing and they even had a rum runner on their drink menu and this is all I drink when I go to key west and it was made perfectly

The room was spacious, clean and the bay view was stunning. checking in and out was easy, staff was really friendly, they also provide a parking in the hotel. It's all fullfilled my expectation.

We loved the balcony room with Marina view. It was very comfortable and surprisingly quiet. We had a nice breakfast at the hotel and used the hot tub several times. It was convenient for enjoying Shelter Island, nearby to restaurants on the outskirts and going to Point Loma. We had never stayed on the island before and were very pleased with the choice. We booked direct and joined the Commodore Club for a couple of perks. The onsite parking fee was more reasonable than most downtown hotels.

Decent hotel. It is not modern but it was clean. Rooms have balconies although some are very small and don’t necessarily get the sun. I had a bay view room and had a great view of the sunrise each morning. Staff friendly. It is quite a walk to the nearest shop but there are several good restaurants and coffee shops within easy walking distance. I was relying on public transport and managed ok although you do need to get into the centre or the old town to make a connection. There are minimal buses operating in this area on weekends which narrows down connection opportunities. There is a fridge, coffee maker and microwave in the room. Some coffee is provided in the room but no milk - just powdered creamer. Free coffee is available in reception each morning.
