Bay Club Hotel and Marina

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well maintained, and the staff were incredibly welcoming throughout my visit. Check-in was quick, the breakfast offered plenty of variety, and the location made it easy to explore nearby attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

I recently spent only 1 night but here’s my opinion. It’s a decent place. Front desk staff terrific, bar lounge area ok, hotel upkeep ok. I booked a bay view room because I wanted to see and smell the water because I live in a land locked state. When I arrived in my room I was very disappointed. How could they possibly call this a bay view? I could see a palm tree and the parking lot. Unacceptable. I spoke with a young man at the front desk who was sympathetic to my comments and offered a real bay view. I had to wait 30 minutes but it was worth it. The overs feeling of the place is more like a motel than hotel. There are no high end amenities, or high thread count linens or plush towels. Everything is basic but ok. I had a mini fridge and microwave and coffee set up. So my needs were met.
Oh they charge $24 for parking but I parked for free across the street

The hotel is in a Great Location. The view is wonderful.

We love this location: Shelter Island has the bay and the yacht marina on both sides of the hotel for great views on either side of the hallway. The overall atmosphere is friendly, casual classy, lots of windows, and poolside/marina-side dining. We love that. We walk to our Sailing excursions (about 3 blocks), to our favorite restaurant: KETCH and our favorite gelato shop (next to KETCH). Our room was spacious, with great views; we like having bedside tables & lamps to read, love the little fridge and desk area. We picked this hotel for it's style, cleanliness, views, proximity to our planned outings. It's so close to Uber/taxi from the airport, close to Seaport Village and Little Italy--a quick car ride. Because it's not downtown, it's quiet and not crowded. The pool is small, that's the only downside if you bring swimmers. Other hotels nearby have much bigger pools. Love the lobby ambiance and nice bathrooms off of the lobby where we could change we arrived too early to check in. We still got out by the pool to read hours before checkin. Great location, nice lodgings, competitive pricing, friendly staff. Thanks!

We loved our stay at Bay Club Hotel and Marina. We had a full view of the marina from our room and a full view of the ocean as we walked out the front entrance. We enjoyed an outstanding and welcoming atmosphere and kindness, courtesy and professional from every staff member we encountered. Our room was very nice, very clean, and very quiet. The service, amenities and quality of this hotel was well worth the price we paid. We highly recommend this hotel!

We love the location and the views from all windows, of the bay and sailboats, and the yacht harbor and boats. This hotel is casual classy from the lobby to the bar/dining area (outdoor dining is a plus). We love being in this part of town because it's quiet, not crowded, surrounded by water, close to the airport and downtown, and has several of the best restaurants in San Diego, right on Shelter Island!
