I messaged on the mobile app at 8:48 PM saying Just Married, I did receive a message saying Congratulations
At 9:10 PM I asked about strawberries or an upgrade
At 9:35 PM they answered they had no strawberries and couldn't guarantee an upgrade but would check. I totally understand not having strawberries that late at nt
We arrived at 10:15 PM and had to wait at check in for 45 mins where the agents Ashley and Aleah were nice but absolutely didn't know what to do or how to handle the situation
There was 7 people on the waiting list ahead of us for 1 clean room with 1 housekeeper still there
Even if a room had become clean after learning this fact I would not have accepted it because there's no way 1 housekeeper could clean properly or to Marriott standards in this timeframe
There was another 12 guests waiting behind us in line
There were another 30 reservations still to come in
I asked what was the walk gameplan, where were they walking to and what compensation we would be getting and they both looked at each other like I was speaking a foreign language
I want to make clear in no way am I upset at the fd agents or blame them for this experience. They did the best they could with no training or support from leadership for this situation
The FD mgr, Housekeeping leadership, and GM or someone in leadership should have been there until all guests had been walked- the fact that these fd agents were left there by themselves to fix this problem is unacceptable
By 5-6PM the hotel knew how many rooms they were going to be able to clean and have for the night, when i received the message back regarding an upgrade or when I informed them we were just married is when someone should have contacted us regarding the situation and not having any rooms
How can you check an upgrade when you don't even have any clean rooms to check into if that was truly the case. Either you majorly oversold or the Housekeeping dept failed
Aleah left Ashley to go get supposed paperwork but never came back and Ashley was solo with a whole lobby full of upset guests
The only way we were able to get another room in Mobile is because my wife and I began looking for rooms online and calling ourselves as no other Marriott hotels had rooms
You also shouldn't be trying to walk guests from a full service Marriott to select service or argue what can or cant be done because of price
I had to be on the phone for an hr with customer care to get any customer service and make sure we had a room at the Autograph Collection
I never received an email, call, text from any member of mgmt or the GM after this terrible experience - I even wrote them an email and have yet to hear back from anyone.
This place is an absolute joke of a hotel and would never recommend it to anyone!!!

During our recent conference at the Marriott in Mobile, Alabama, Daryoush provided some of the finest service I have experienced at any hotel or conference venue.
What impressed me most was his professionalism and attention to detail. He consistently anticipated needs before they became issues, ensuring that everything ran smoothly throughout our event. He was always courteous, respectful, and willing to help, yet somehow managed to perform his work almost invisibly. The conference rooms were always prepared, refreshments were maintained, and any requests were handled promptly and efficiently without disrupting the flow of the conference.
Daryoush represents the very best of hospitality service. His dedication, work ethic, and commitment to excellence did not go unnoticed by our group. He played a significant role in making our conference successful and enjoyable.
