My husband and I just completed a three night stay at the Mobile Alabama Marriott on Airport Boulevard. It was one of our worst hotel experiences ever. I will try to be brief.
First, barn doors for bathroom doors are a horrible idea. Do I really need to elaborate why— even couples married 27 years want bathroom privacy!
Second, the showers have low flow showerheads. It’s like taking a shower in the rain—it takes half an hour to get clean.
Third, The air conditioning went out on our first evening. The temperature was 76° and humid in our room. We couldn’t sleep the first night.
Fourth, the mini fridge did not work when we arrived. The front desk told me to turn it on by pushing a blue button inside the fridge, which turned out to be non-existent. However, a very nice employee who happened to be riding the elevator, called maintenance for me. Thankfully, an excellent repair man arrived quickly and got it working. A day later, one of our drinks froze and exploded, then leaked out of the fridge and made a sticky mess all over the floor.
The worst thing that happened: after our stay, I thought I had forgotten my wallet in the room. I called the hotel after we had checked out and asked them to look for it. I was told that I had to go to a third party website (Ileftmystuff.com) and fill in a form to request the hotel to search for the item, and that the response from the website could take up to a week! The woman who answered the phone at the front desk was very dismissive and clearly just wanted to get me off the phone as quickly as possible. It’s not like I had forgotten a charger or a sweater, I couldn’t leave Mobile without my identification! Thankfully, while she had me on hold (answering another call, I think) my husband found my wallet in our car.
Daryoush was a great server every day at that breakfast for the event!
I was not in the system and I had to pay an extra hundred dollars because I booked with Booking Services. I wasn’t even in the system. I booked concierge room and didn’t receive after I paid for the services.
I did Not receive what I paid for, because they stated that they overbooked, and I booked through third party I had to accept what they had left
The location was great close to everything. Nice and aesthetically pleasing!
Bathrooms and showers could’ve been cleaned a little better. Staff referred me to online for next booking instead of helping and dates sold out by time I got access online.
Sophia is my favorite and I look forward look forward to eating breakfast and chit chatting.
Janice and Sophia are great wait staff that always takes great care of me. The new chef, Chris is awesome! Great place to stay and wonderful breakfast!!
I stayed at this Hotel while doing some business and it was great. I took the breakfast here and the service was amazing. Sophia did an excellent job attending me and she is a Rockstar.
We had great service for our team by Dartmouth! Very attentive and took great care of us! Also very friendly and helped with anything we needed.
I went for a work trip and the experience was tremendous. Our visit was enhanced due to the attentive care of Daryoush he was outstanding and extremely helpful, kind, respectful and attentive. Would stay here again if in the area!
Both Lauren and Sophia were wonderful and assisted my son and I with our food allergies. Lovely to have friendly service while traveling to keep us safe!
Stayed a couple nights at this hotel, here for work. At breakfast, I had a special order due to my diet. My waitress Lauren was excellent, and attentive to all my requests. Great work!
Did not eat breakfast.
I missed a swimming pool.
