My wife and I have stayed at the Park Place many times over the past years, so not new to staying here.
10.17.25:
Staff - always friendly and seem customer focused
Dining- Only had breakfast, and that was fine, nothing above average
Room- asked for a handicap room, but that did not happen.
Stayed in the tower, room was tired, toilet seat would not stay up,,,, turned refrigerator off,, very noisy.
WiFi - extremely poor coverage in room, unacceptable in today’s today’s world.
Elevator - wow, very worn, dirty, wanted to clean it myself. Doesn’t anyone on staff see this???
Cost: at $474.81/ night,,, would certainly expect something better than what we experienced.
Location: perfect ,,, heart of downtown and Front St.
Park Place Hotel has a storied history. It was the Traverse City Rotary that saved this hotel years ago. The ownership group owes it to Traverse City and its guests to bring this facility up to today’s standards. Nationwide hotel chains would require significant facility improvements before they would allow their flag to be flown here.

Great place to hold an event. Everyone was very helpful. We got what I could only assume was special treatment from Tim Simonelli and Kayla (banquets, sorry don't know her last name but she moved fast and was always smiling - our entire conference team loved her).
Clean
Hotel Staff and check in was outstanding and friendly.
Wonderful property right in Traverse City. Close to shopping a dining.
While an older hotel, my room was very nice and had great amenities. The location was awesome with easy parking and I could walk everywhere Downtown. would definitely stay here again. The front desk staff were incredibly helpful.
Location
Friendly staff
While our room was clean, the faucet was broken, elevator floor, door and panel was dirty! Bathrooms need to be updated.
All in all we enjoyed our stay here. Excellent location with ample parking. Walking to Front street easily.
Room was clean, drain on shower drained slowly only issue.
Loved the location of this hotel. Close to the water and restaurants. Although dated and a bit worn the hotel is spacious. My husband and I enjoyed the restaurant, especially happy hour and the roof top views. I used the indoor pool and hot top for some physical therapy. It was great.
I enjoyed my stay and its a great location close to everything
Perfect place to stay. So much within walking distance.
booking.com to get the best deal.Nice pictures but fake. Went there to see a dirty lounge area/nasty elevator. Canceled.Fee.trap
We love the view at the top of the park. Convenient to walk downtown & eat/ shop. Easy to park our motorcycles or car.
Great area next to everything. Older hotel with very average accommodations
This building needs to be gutted, dirty beyond belief
This traditional, old-style hotel is quiet and safe. Depending on the room, there is a lake view. The hotel is within walking distance of the lake and very close to downtown. The staff is friendly. The cafeteria was not open at 7 o’clock on Tuesday after Labor Day.
The staff and location are fantastic.
