We only had one night. We were very happy with the location and the spacious room. We slept very well in a quiet space with a verycomfortable bed
This property we stayed in for six nights at 4 Rue Martignac is quite nice in its updated art deco format. Getting off the tram at the Grand-Théâtre stop, the hotel is just a block away! M. Florian at the front desk was busy when we arrived too early for check-in; but Mlle. Marine took care of our luggage, and we were free to go on our way to explore the beautiful city of Bordeaux!
Returning to the hotel, we were warmly welcomed, and we engaged in friendly conversation with M. Florian (and did so almost every time our elevator stopped at the Reception floor; sometimes, we just poked out our heads with a cheery “Bonjour!” on our way up to our third floor room)! Mlle. Marine and Mlle. Sonia were also a joy to chat with or surprise with our “Bonjours!”
Upon entering our Double Club - Medium room 305 at our “home away from home,” beautifully maintained by their wonderful staff, we delighted at its high-end design and the extra touches in the bathroom!! We very much enjoyed our view from our single window that looked out over rooftops of retail and residential properties, especially as we faced west and enjoyed some beautiful sunsets in our room when we were just too tired to go out anymore! A bonus was hearing the sounds of the neighborhood—voices of passersby, the gentle clang of the tram as it approached the Grand Theatre stop and the bells at Église Notre-Dame de Bordeaux a half block away from our front door on Pl du Chapelet!
We chose a perfectly beautiful and restful spot in staying at the Best Western Premier Bayonne!
There are two hotels on different streets with the same name. So, you first need to know which hotel you will be staying at. We found the hotel to be a bit tired and seems to cater to tour groups. We were in the midst of one such group when we found the last breakfast table. Check out was a bit chaotic as both the group and we were leaving at the same time. Also, the check -in desk was usually empty as the help would be in an adjoining room with a closed door.
We accidentally stayed at another Best Western hotel, Grand Hotel Francais. It was a much better experience and seemed a cut above with better decor, friendly people who were actually there, and a wonderful upscale bar.
Spacious and clean rooms, grat location. Polite and friendly staff are.
Excellent hotel, great central location and very friendly staff at the reception. Highly recommend!
I was hesitant based on it being a Best western but when I read the reviews they reassured me and they were right. This location is perfect, right in the main part of Bordeaux and walkable to tons of shopping and restaurants. We stayed in a suite room which was so spacious and comfortable, it felt like a little apartment and gave us some much appreciated space! Great spot overall!
City centre location, small boutique hotel. Overall very clean and tidy. Breakfast was a disappointment, better to go on Room only and buy breakfast somewhere else nearby. Staff could be more friendly.
The hotel was incredible for us. The location is amazing. The staff is efficient, kind, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Emily, a front desk lady, was particularly fantastic! Her information and suggestions really made our trip easy and wonderful. The room view was marvelous. The linens and such were lovely.
Clean room and friendly staff. Excellent location.
Good location for central Bordeaux. Comfortable room. You pay more for binding in the so called golden triangle, so great if that is you want…
Rooms were very nice. Staff was friendly. Area was great for walking.
Difficult to reach. You have to drag your luggage from the public underground car park about 500 metres away. There are actually two hotels and we arrived at the wrong one. We had to pick up the luggage and go down the street. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast is reasonably generous, though the room is small. They do not understand the idea that water for tea should be near boiling, and so a heavy metal tea pot lowers the temperature rapidly. Egg boiler was not switched on, so there was a long wait for it to be ready. I had to ask for an egg cup, which added another word to my vocabulary! BIG bistro is nearby past Galleries Lafayette and is good, if a little pricey.
Our room was small but clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great location.
Best hotel ever. Rooms were fabulous both visits. Staff were great and they were willing to look after our luggage, book cabs and were just beyond a smile. Love this hotel and if we are ever back in Bordeaux I would stay there again and again. Decor was also very nice.
Good location
Excellent service. Early entry into room. Very spacious and bathroom was so big. Staff were very pleasant. Looking forward to coming back for our next stay in a week's time
Great location
A great hotel in an excellent location right in the centre of the city.
A good clean bedroom although a little small with a very good bathroom.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities and room was high standard. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Breakfast is mediocre. Coffee was bad. A staff member was dismissive. Courtesy umbrellas were nice. Rooms are small. Bed was a bit worn and sagging. Location was great and not noisy (pedestrian only street).
