The property was in an area where the bums would hang out in the lower parking garage to smoke pot. The hotel needs better security. I checked in after 3:00pm and the only room they had was right off the lobby. I asked for another room and I was told I would have to wait another hour for another room. She told me that I wouldn’t’ hear the lobby noise. Well, we did and we had a cat that didn’t like the noise either, especially when the fire alarm went off at 12:00 something in the morning.
Staff helpful. Breakfast was good. Room was clean.

Newer and clean rooms
Breakfast was the worst I have had at a hotel. Sausages were dry and hard! 2% milk containers had skim milk in them. No fruit, muffins or yogurt. Hot water container for oatmeal had barely warm water. Out of regular coffee… etc….
Very comfortable, good breakfast for a hotel, and nice rooms!
Eggs were watery. Everything else was good.
Watery eggs
Breakfast was good. The room was comfortable and had everything i needed. Would stay again.
Some areas of the room were not clean. The night table was dusty, there were hairs on the towels and the carpet had just been washed so it was wet we had to have shoes at all times.
The customer service was excellent, the bed was very comfortable, the location was perfect

Great location to all of the San Diego attractions. Room was very nice, they provided fresh towels and cleaned the room everyday.
No complaints.
Front desk
Terrible location for getting in and out.
Parking was difficult
Not a good place for bringing a pet
Old La Quinta inn
Couldn’t check in on time because of stay overs and no rooms were available
Didn't even try breakfast, looked awful, didn't like the location.
Reservation for 2 rooms, 1 room wasn't ready at 3pm, which Hotel stated rooms would be available at 3pm, after 3pm they gave us room 420, when our party got to that room, housekeeping was still cleaning the room, then later Hotel gave us room 419, now it's over 1 hour for our 2nd room, our found feces on toilet. I do appreciate front desk worker John giving discount for our inconvenience, however we won't ever be reserving with La Qinta again, was the worst Hotel experience ever
Parking sucked
Great hotel. They keep it really clean. It’s conveniently located next to the freeway. But it’s not easy access to Mission Bay. It takes longer than you think. You do hear the freeway a bit. But for the price, I’m definitely not gonna complain. It was a great place to stay.
