Love this hotel. The staff are above and beyond! They offer a shuttle that will bring you within a 3 mile radius, which is a great perk!
Nice rooms, very dated bathrooms, and terrible food, but a fine choice in the limited options in DTLA. An adequate place to stay in Downtown LA, particularly if attending anything in the courthouses or government buildings. The premier rooms were nice, large and nice windows, clean and comfortable bed. HVAC worked well, TVs undersized and low resolution for this day and age. Bathrooms were dated and small, with step up into bathtub/shower combo and motel level body wash, etc. Rooms are nicer than the Westin though the hotel lacks decent or really any good food and beverage choices. Made the mistake of lunch at Noe, and it was terrible. Fish tacos, so so, but their version of a caesar salad was spicy thousand island dressing glopped over whole lettuce leaves (don’t think romaine) and spicy but not in a good way. Terrible. Coffee shop is a miss unless you are desperate. If you like a larger nice hotel room and are fine with leaving the hotel to eat, and rates are not at a peak price (they can range quite a bit), the Omni is fine. Valets, staff are friendly and kind. Wasn’t acknowledged as a member of their loyalty program at checkin, but did get free water in my room at least. If looking at larger corporate style hotel for when you need space to work and not looking for a nice spa or luxury or good food, it is a fine choice.
Second stay at the Omni. I looked at other places and so happy I decided on this hotel again. Staff was amazing- from arrival to departure and every interaction in between. Comfortable room and perfect location for my visit (Walt Disney concert hall). Friendly bar atmosphere for a solo traveler and complimentary car service within 3 miles of the hotel which came in handy when it was raining. I will absolutely stay here again if in DTLA.
The room itself was clean, and overall the property is beautiful. However, there were a few issues that were disappointing.
The pillowcases had visible holes, and the pillows were extremely worn out and uncomfortable. They appeared very old and not suitable for guest use. This was surprising given the hotel’s standard.
We also had an unpleasant experience at breakfast. There was no hostess when we arrived, and we waited about 20 minutes before being seated. Once seated, the waiter was rude and hostile, particularly toward my cousin, which made her feel very uncomfortable. The interaction felt disrespectful and unprofessional.
We reported the issue to the front desk immediately and were told we would receive a $40 credit, but we have not received it.
We hope management will address these concerns, as we expected a higher level of service and comfort.
The only bad thing I can say, is I wish I could've stayed longer. Perfectly nestled in the best of Los Angeles access to walkable food trucks to fine dining. The hotel and staff were wonderful to accommodate every request with a smile and excellent service.
Beautiful location. Close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Comfortable beds. Excellent Nae restaurant. Excellent helpful staff.
Great experience during my recent stay. I was acknowledged as a select guest member and the entire staff was professional and offered great customer service. Room was very well appointed and meticulous.
I was not familiar with Omni before my wife booked it for our LA trip. I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend this hotel to any regular people (not influencers or anyone looking for something trendy or fancy). I would, for example, put my elderly parents up in this hotel if they were visiting LA. It's the kind of place where I felt the staff would be on top of it if they needed anything.
The property and facilities were clean and well-appointed and the staff is sincerely friendly and helpful. There was one mishap--we waited over an hour for our bags to be brought up to our room--but as soon as I called the front desk about it the bags were promptly delivered. My requests for an electric kettle and an extra bathrobe were met within minutes. The water pressure is great; the beds were comfortable; the hallways were quiet. I got the impression that all the staff at this hotel do their job with integrity, warmth, and attention to detail (I hope they are paid fairly), which is a different attitude from the anonymity and scatteredness that you often encounter in big chain hotels (i.e., if you want something you often have to tell them twice). When traveling I also often favor newer stylish boutique hotels where you pay for the interior design, not for service. The Omni was a really wonderful alternative and a reminder that hospitality is about humans.
PS. The 4 guest elevators were EXTREMELY prompt; we never had to wait more than what seemed like 5 seconds for one to arrive!
The hotel and our hotel room were very nice and clean. Front desk and valet were friendly. No one offered any of the promised Loyalty program benefits, nor was there any paperwork or QR codes or anything information about any of the amenities that were promised. Car service (that we had to ask about) was unavailable when needed. Dessert/drinks at the bar were not tasty and expensive. We paid to ride the Angels Flight Railway, even though it said we would get a free ride with our hotel room. Room was big and comfortable, but got too hot at night and the AC couldn't cool it down enough. Housekeeping staff was helpful when needed due to a soap pump issue. Excellent location.
From the moment we arrived, the parking attendants and all the staff were incredibly friendly, courteous, and genuinely welcoming – it set such a warm tone for our entire stay.
Our room was beautifully cozy and well-appointed, with a stunning view of the vibrant downtown skyline and California Plaza that we couldn’t get enough of. The comfortable bedding and peaceful atmosphere made it the perfect retreat after exploring the city.
It’s no wonder my family and I keep coming back to the Omni as our go-to hotel in Los Angeles – the exceptional service, inviting rooms, and unbeatable location make it feel like home away from home every time. Highly recommend for families or anyone wanting a touch of luxury in the heart of DTLA!
The location is great, but that's about all. Rooms were old, bathroom outlet did not work properly, front office staff were inconsistent with information and amenities mentioned/provided to me vs. my colleagues, valet brought the wrong luggage to the taxi (good thing I noticed before he closed the trunk!), and there was no face soap or makeup remover provided in the room. I would not stay here again.
Very nice property in a great location. Clean rooms and professional staff. The so-called daily 'destination charge' is the reason I would not stay here again.
One of my Favorite hotels. Omni los Angeles. Excellent staff. Fantastic view of Los Angeles. Downtown. Close to the museums. Pool & Gym well maintained. Comfortable rooms. Several areas of the hotel to relax and attend to one's work .
The hotel is amazing everyone who works there including prime and Roberto. They always will assess any need you have they’re so accommodating. The rooms are clean. I mean this place is 10 out of 10.
We were welcomed from the moment we arrived by the valets, they efficiently took our luggage up to our rooms after we checked in. We had two rooms- one overlooked the California Plaza, which was beautiful with the lights on. The other overlooked the pool area. It was our granddaughter’s birthday, they had put balloons in the room greet her, and set up a nice treat plate of desserts. She was thrilled! Thank you, Omni staff for making it such a wonderful stay!
The Omni is a great location and convenient to everything in DTLA. And you can reach the metro easily to get to other parts of town. Room rates were a good value as well.
My stay at the Omni in downtown LA was outstanding from start to finish. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and well-maintained, but what truly made the experience exceptional was the level of service from the staff.
Roberto at the front desk went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect during my visit. His professionalism, kindness, warm attitude, and genuine attention to detail made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another reservation. Even going as far as to call up to my room to see if everything was to my liking and satisfaction. It’s rare to see management so hands-on and attentive, and Roberto absolutely set the tone for a great stay.
I also want to highlight Ivan, one of the valet drivers. He was incredibly prompt, friendly, and helpful every single time I needed my car. He made the valet experience seamless, and his upbeat energy always put a smile on my face.
Between the spotless rooms, excellent communication, and exceptional staff like Roberto and Ivan, the Omni exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend it for anyone visiting downtown LA—truly a five-star experience.
I have already filled out a survey. The stay was excellent. I took an Uber from LAX and was greeted by the bellmen with graciousness. Michelle at the front desk was helpful, knowledgeable of the surrounding area and the hotel and gave great tips. The room was spacious, comfortable, with a thermostat that allowed me to adjust the temperature to my desired level. The bed was great for a nap and overnight stay. I was only in town for one night and everyone was pleasant. The flowers were beautiful, well kept by the polite and helpful housekeeping staff. AND, there was no overpowering "hotel" scent that frequently dominant the foyers/lobbies of other hotels. Loved the stay.
Stayed here for 2 nights with my family and had a very nice time. Very friendly staff and our room booking came with access to the lounge in the 17th floor with complimentary soft drinks and coffee, which we accessed throughout the stay.
Paid a little extra for late checkout at 2 pm which allowed for extra time for sightseeing. It's very close to Walt Disney Concert Hall and The Broad Museum (the Basquiat collection was wonderful). Also walking distance to Grand Central Market which offers a plethora of dining options.
I had an exceptional experience at the OMNI LA. From the moment I arrived, the service stood out — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff went above and beyond to ensure comfort, and every interaction felt professional and warm.
The property itself is spotless, modern, and well-maintained. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made the stay relaxing. The location is excellent, close to key downtown attractions, dining options, and cultural sites, yet still feels calm and private.
Amenities were top-notch, including the fitness center, on-site dining, and overall guest services. Everything operated smoothly and efficiently, and it’s clear that the hotel prioritizes quality and customer experience.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting LA, whether for business or leisure. I will absolutely stay here again.
