Welcoming and knowledgeable staff. Very personable and helpful. Hotel is close to I5 with easy access. Gated parking.
The staff was amazing, the made to order omelettes were superb, the beds were comfy and the location was great.
The bathroom was a bit small, which makes it hard when you’re sharing a room with friends. And the waffle batter was a bit small so it took some time to get the perfect waffle.
The breakfast was really good and the hotel was clean.
Location was not great and all the pool room felt like your eye balls were burning the whole time.
Clean and great amenities. Free parking and the complimentary hot breakfast included a lot of options
Staff at the front desk, Jenifer is not willing to help.
Very good location. Helpful staff.
This hotel is outstanding I came to Portland for a business trip and worked 10 hrs days. The staff from check in to check out was amazing. The atmosphere was great, rooms clean and beds so comfortable. The free drink ticket was a nice touch to come back to after a long day, with a soak in the hot tub, sit in the sauna and than nice shower than bed. The location is great, I loved that they jad a restaurant in the hotel making it so I didnt have to leave, but also if I did a gas station or tacobell was in walking distance. I jad such a good experience I stayed one more night on my own dime, id rather been comfortable than drive 6 hours home at night. Thanks for an amazing stay, ill definitely be back ☺️😊
I liked that it was secure and didn’t have to worry about parking my car
There was nothing I could think of that I didn’t like
We were there with our team for a competition. The ladies at the front desk were extremely slow checking people in so there was a lot of standing in line when we needed anything. The worst part of the stay is their pool was broken and there was dangerously high levels of chlorine which caused all the kids to start coughing and they broke out in a rash. And it wasn't just our kids. It was 10-11 kids all coughing and complaining about their throats feeing funny. I had to report it so they would actually shut the pool down. The kids were super disappointed but excited when they saw the pool would re open the next day. But once again we went to the pool and everyone started coughing and getting a rash. One of the moms almost had to go to the ER because she was having trouble breathing even after taking herself outside. There also isn't any room service so you have to remove your dirty towels and go downstairs to grab more. They responded to the chlorine poisoning by taking $50 off our stay. Which isn't even enough to cover the breathing treatments and steroids I had to give my kids. We will never stay there again when we visit Portland.
The staff were so kind and definitely the highlight of our stay! Courteous, friendly, and hard at work at all hours it seemed! The pool was clean, the hot tub was perfect after a 5 hour drive, the elevators worked and were very handy! The rooms were very clean, the fridge worked overtime to keep our drinks and food cold, and there was always hot and cold water on tap! The rooms were also very quiet, we didn't need to worry about hearing the other hotel guests. :)
When I was booking a hotel on a tiny island in the Columbia river, I was really hoping I'd have a view of the river... unfortunately that wasn't the case. Instead, we had a view of other nearby parking lots and hotels! 😭 On top of that, the island was more expensive than nearby Portland (we were warned by other online reviews NOT to shop or gas up at the nearby gas station) we booked the economy suite and it was much more "economy" than I'd hoped. The AC units blew cold, which is great, but they were so loud!
There was a lady at the front desk who was VERY rude to us on more than one occasion, she was also rude to other customers too. We had friends that also rented rooms there, and they also said that the same lady was rude to them. One incident in particular we had originally rented a room for one night and we wanted to rent another one. She said that they didn’t haveany ribs available and they couldn’t rent this one so I went on Priceline and found a room and booked it we had to switch rooms was fine. We didn’t mind doing that cause they were busy so we were happy to get a room when my daughter went to go. Ask her if we could check in a little earlier the day because we had to move all of our stuff and we were there for a competition for my son. She told my daughter there was no rooms available. My daughter said yes we did get a room and she asked my daughter.” what room do you think you got?” I had booked it after 10 o’clock at night, so I’m sure it didn’t show up in our system, but she told my daughter that we were not in the system. It was just a very, very rude. The manager came out saw what she had said and said they probably just haven’t updated the system. If you need to leave your bags here you can the Manager was very nice and try to correct this lady’s rude actions. The next day when we checked in, there was a whole new set of staff members who are very friendly I did complain and she saidthat this issue would be addressed however, on a good note the bartender there was so amazing. We went back both nights! I hope these guys give this bartender a raise and know that they have a really good bartender. He was funny very attentive and worked his buttoff to make sure that everybody was taking care of them his bar. They are lucky to have him overall the day was OK except for the pool was closed the very first night, which was one of the reasons why we picked the hotel so my son could stretch out and some swimming in and a couple of the other kids too so that was a disappointment, but it was a safety issue they said, but all in all I guess it was it was OK. I would go back there just because of the bartender! Excellent customer service I work in customer service myself for 30+ years so I can appreciate this. He was awesome!
Well, it happened, I spontaneously bought tickets for a band I needed to see in chilly February at the Moda center (iykyk 🤘💀💋🐐) and needed the most affordable room in the area that made sense for my trip, which led me here. I could say a lot, so I'll keep it short and sweet: The staff were all so sweet and kind to us, we're not very chatty but we all love to laugh and smile. Several times there was a language barrier but we communicated in laughter and mutual respect, I loved that. The room that I booked was in my price range but not necessarily memorable in a good way. 😅 They're just a little outdated and could use a facelift, but I get that it's an economy suite and not really a priority. 💔
On the flipside, the rest of the hotel was very nice! Very clean, no bugs or mold despite the proximity to water and outdated ventilation system (the wall units hum and rattle, not major but it could use upgrades), they've got really hard working staff that keep everything running smoothly for everyone, convenient location for where we needed to be, and frankly it's a very novel experience to get to stay at a hotel on a tiny island! (Even if you can't see the water 🫠😮💨😅🥹) AND THEY HAVE A SUPER CLEAN POOL AND HOT TUB!
Location was perfect. I upgraded to an apartment that is not listed apparently. Value was amazing. Atmosphere was perfect. We had an amazing continental breakfast and a huge room. Maybe 900sq feet for so. We loved it
Fast check-in, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy beds, great breakfast—and the sauna and hot tub were the perfect way to end each day.
I’ve been to Jantzen Beach Oxford suites multiple times and two times I’ve been there my truck got broken into. This was the last time I’ll stay there. The first time it happened the was no fence or gates up securing the property but they had security. This time it was fully fenced the gate had been broken for over a month and they also had security. They have not offered any assistance nor would they let me see the surveillance footage either time. Both times it happen my truck was parked right by a camera.
