There were dangerous steps in the room.
Rooms where on first floor disturbed by noise right outside of room after 11pm
Staff and location
Steps in room. Had to stand on chair for heat control. Loud on 1st floor with parties going on
Paid much more than my cousin for my second night
The property. The restaurant at the property (Atlas New World Bistro) offers American and Indian food; I tested the butter chicken which was excellent.
The room was nice and the bed was comfortable.
Easy parking at the hotel.
Traffic noise.
I had a room on road side and you could hear any vehicle passing by (earplugs highly recommended !!).
I recommend you get a room that faces the parking lot / harbor.
I get up early so was not too much disturbed, as vehicles start passing by around 6am.
Location nice town and quiet
The hotel needs a face lift - bathroom was nice bed comfy but the furniture and carpet was old. Reception and the entrance needs a boost.
Location, cleanliness and friendly staff!
The price was a bit high.
The location, the staff is very friendly
value , cleanliness
I love this hotel. Everything was great. The rooms were so nice and clean and luxurious. The staff were super all great, and the manager was super sweet and helpful when I wanted to extend my stay. Wish I could give this more stars.
I stayed here for two days and was extremely disappointed, because of the area being Roslyn I expected a higher end hotel, but instead I got a hotel with very small rooms. I stayed in a double queen room and it was very small and uncomfortable. The bathroom is very dreary and even smaller. This place could've definitely been cleaner as well. Also during my stay there was a brown water back up in the toilet, it was disgusting, I assumed the pipes were being worked on but there was no warning from management also there was a man yelling and arguing about the water situation at 7:30 in the morning. Even thought those are issues I would say there biggest issue is the management. The front desk workers are rude and act like they are doing you a favor, but worst of all the biggest problem is the manager. She is rude and unprofessional, she has a terrible habit of talking down to you as well.
Bottom line is don't go here there are other hotels in the area that seem to be more accommodating than this place. Also be aware the manager likes to be confrontational and dose not like when you express your own opinion.
Staff was great - enjoyed the restaurant
Walls in rooms are paper thin - need to invest in some soundproofing as I could easily hear the conversation my next door neighbor was having and it wasn't because they were being loud. Doors also slam very hard and loud.
My family and I had the pleasure of staying at The Roslyn this past weekend. We were traveling for a hockey tournament and this hotel was near the rink. My kids loved the room, the desk help was great and the restaurant in the hotel was not only convenient but also delicious. Would highly recommend.
We stayed February 13 for their valentines special of overnight stay, dinner, chocolate covered strawberries, prosecco/champagne in the room, rose petals (artificial) on the bed , and breakfast the next morning.
Started out great. Warm friendly greeting by front desk. Ample parking underground (no fee), limited parking up top but you want to enter underground for the elevator . There are just steep steps ground level.
Lobby is pretty yet … a bit stark . The art work I found strange . Just me maybe. A small bar further in -we didn’t see in action and a fireplace / library type lounge.
The room is ALL white. Everything . I liked it but found the lack of any artwork in the room - strange. One canvas type art work in the bathroom. The chocolate covered strawberries were beautiful and delicious . And overall room looked great and very clean. Bathroom was nice , well laid out. Although , the shower rod was only a compression rod. They need a curved, rod to create more space in the shower. And permanent. Shower gel, shampoo and conditioner on the wall in the shower . I thought it was an odd location . Toilet seat was soft close , towels clean and soft brand new. There is a refrigerator, coffeemaker and ample room for clothing. Large closet and plenty of drawer space.
The bed… many other reviews raved about the sleep quality. We didn’t experience that. The bed was average and the pillows worse. We had down and synthetic and both left us literally sore.
The worst part was the heating unit on the wall by the window. It seemed ok until we went to bed and realized at times it made a loud banging noise. It woke us up several times until we tuned it off. Fortunately, we didn’t freeze. We did tell the front desk at check out and later they said they’d give us 5000 points. Ok. Just fix it for next time.
The Atlas world bistro for dinner was top notch ! Service, food quality was one of the best meals I have ever had.plus, they gave me rose for Valentine’s Day I didn’t expect. For breakfast, it was eh. Food was good but one of the servers just didn’t seem to want to be there. No refills of coffee or water. He didn’t even come back to check on us… and it wasn’t that busy . There was another wait staff person who was great but not the main server. We asked the second person for the check / sign since breakfast was included . We waited about ten minutes and just got up to leave. Then our server stopped us.
Overall a nice overnight stay for the holiday . Food was very very excellent for dinner. I think very good for the money but , sleeping is important and we felt like we had been up for hours. Because we were.
Also, the view from our room 312 was nothing to write home about . Average .
There were really no grounds to speak of to stroll around .
Avoid at all cost. My uncle died and my aunt kindly booked a room at this hotel for my sister and I to attend the funeral. She didn't realize that my sister and I were not able to stay for 2 nights. She had just lost her husband of 57 years and she was trying to help family get together. She actually wanted to pay for the room when she booked it, but the merchant wouldn't allow it.
When my sister and I checked in we were told the reservation was for 2 nights. I explained to them that my aunt, who was trying to be helpful, booked the room for us and that we would only be able to stay for one night. The people at the front desk said they couldn't do anything about it because we were outside the cancellation period. I guess that was true because my aunt booked last minute for a funeral.
The people at the front dest assured me that I would receive a call from the manager to address this. Never happened. Now one might think that the appropriate response would be we're are very sorry for your loss and we understand how this happened. If you did you would be absolutely wrong.
I did dispute the charge for the second day with my credit card company because I never heard from the establishment, but through months of back and forth these people still refused to budge.
I would like to thank this establishment and the Hilton Corporation for making a difficult time for my family just that much worse.
