Nice hotel in an area without a lot of options. I just wanted to say that the woman at the front desk, Jennie, was superb. So warm and inviting and it was a pleasure to speak with her when I had a mixup with my reservation (the mistake was my fault).
Awful experience at this hotel. They don’t have any sense of loyalty whatsoever. The general manager has no idea what she is doing and the whole front desk staff doesn’t seem like they have taken any type of basic customer service course.
Was assigned room 136 right behind the front desk in which you can hear everything from the desk and lobby and those entering the hotel can see right through your window.
We politely asked the desk to switch our room, but were only offered a downgrade to a streetside room. Even though guests with no elite status (I have Gold) checking in during and after us were given other harborside rooms on the second and third floor. The explanation I was given was that room was not available on the second night of my stay, but was available on the first. Really? They should have given us the better room available on the first night and then assigned 136 or a different room, or at least don’t tell us that. Not to mention gold members should be given space available upgrades and not put in the worst room on the property.
We had no choice but to accept a downgraded, noisy room facing a busy street that interrupted our sleep those two nights.
Front desk offered no solution and threw the general manager’s business card in my face and told me I could accept the room or leave.
I emailed the general manager, Niki, offering her a chance to recover the situation prior to me posting this review. She sent me a ChatGpt explanation (a call would have been nice) with no apology and basically blamed me for voicing my concerns at the desk, saying that I was rude (which I was not, I simply pressed to be put in the available room I booked) and that it was my fault for not doing the online check-in. Herein lies the issue, as this is not a customer-centric property from the top down, and they don’t care about their desk.
Anyhow, rest of the stay went OK the rooms are in OK shape some chips and stains here and there but we had a good stay. Unlike the rest of the staff at the desk, the lady at the breakfast and the housekeeping staff were nice.
Bottom line, stay away and go to the Garden Inn down the street. Hotel needs new management. Bad look for the Hilton brand.
I was staying at the Roslyn Hotel for a business purpose, an old building with a lot of charm, with levels, and with a bay view as well. It was a pleasant place, close to restaurants at a walking distance and a historic town. Clean, comfortable,, well-dressed bed, air conditioner in a comfortable temperature, no noise in the room, good place to rest after a hard day’s work. There are many historic buildings from 17th century and up, as well as easy access for transportation to these buildings. It is a place to stay in a trip to Long Island historic towns.
I had a brief stay here the other day for work in the area and had an excellent experience. My room was clean, the view was nice, and the girl at the front desk (I believe her name was Jenny) was courteous & helpful with directions. The restaurant was also nice.
It was a great stay.
Beautiful place the food in the restaurant was great and our server Dhanish was wonderful.
Literally the best staff ever!!!
Would love to stay here again.
The hotel is just ok. I thought this being a Hilton property it would much nicer. The entire hotel needs to be updated. The rooms are kind of clean but I had like little flying gnats in my room. My headboard to my bed was just terrible. The fake leather was peeling; It was beat up. My white wash cloth had stains. It smelled clean, like bleach, but looked like make up stains on the fabric. The AC was LOUD. It sounded like a jet was about to take off. Take a look at the pics.
Hilton hotel: Roslyn Ny
May 30-June 1 2026
Unfortunately, I give my rating as 1 star. I was in Room 319, May 30-June 1st 2026. The staff was very nice. However some issues with the room: 1) the air conditioning was extremely cold. The air conditioning was blowing excess cold, the curtains were blowing all over the place. I tried resetting the air conditioner to a higher temperature. The temperature was on 60. I was unable to reset the air conditioner. A family member also tried both the air conditioner and and the thermostat. I contacted the front desk and the staff member brought two blankets and they were unable to reset the thermostat.
2) I was in the bathroom following a shower and preparing my makeup. I had the bathroom door closed ( one can’t get in and out of the shower when the bathroom door is open). When I went to open the door to work to go by the bed to do my hair, the door was locked and would not open. I was screaming for help and shouting out my room number. My phone and my hair dryer were by my bed. I was screaming for help for quite some time.
( if I did not call the front desk for extra towels for the next day, no one would have heard me because the bridal party were at the Swan Club taking photos) . A staff member brought up towels and heard me banging on the bathroom door and heard me screaming . The staff member opened my room door and was trying unlock the bathroom door. It was a struggle but she was able to unlock the bathroom door. I explained to the staff member that I did not lock the bathroom door, I was in the hotel room alone. To take a shower, I had to then place a towel over the door to prevent the door from locking again.
3) I am handicapped , the toilett was much too low.
1. when we arrived to hotel, there were no luggage carts available. We all had our own rooms, there was not one luggage carts available in sight and parking lot , lower level there were cones in the parking spots close to the door. Since we had no luggage cart we were going back and forth placing our luggage by entrance way.
I am very disappointed and will never go to this hotel again.
Very clean, well appointed, excellent service and breakfasts. Friendly staff!
My family and I stayed at the Hilton Tapestry for my son’s wedding weekend beginning Saturday, May 30th, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing and embarrassing given that this was the hotel selected for many of the wedding guests.
The issues began immediately with my room, Room 119, which was not properly cleaned upon arrival. My son also discovered blood on the bed sheets in Room 119, which was completely unacceptable and deeply disturbing. In addition, there was no thermostat in the room, and we were forced to climb onto a chair just to manually adjust the temperature on the wall unit. This was not only inconvenient, but also a safety concern.
We were also told that we would receive welcome/thank you gifts, including macarons and other items, which never arrived.
The problems extended beyond our room. My daughter-in-law’s parents’ room was filthy and clearly had not been properly cleaned. In another alarming incident, my sister became locked inside the bathroom of her hotel room and was trapped for approximately 30 minutes before anyone came to assist her. Other family members who traveled from Pittsburgh experienced issues with a non-functioning toilet in their room.
What should have been a joyful and memorable wedding weekend became stressful and frustrating for our family and guests. It was especially upsetting because my son selected this hotel expecting a comfortable and positive experience for everyone attending his wedding.
For a Hilton property, especially one hosting wedding guests, the level of maintenance, housekeeping, responsiveness, and overall guest care was far below expectations. I have been a Hilton Honors member for well over 15 years and have never experienced anything like this at any Hilton property. Overall, this was one of the worst hotel experiences our family has ever had during what should have been a very special occasion.
Breakfast was not included. Should have been. Bar closed early.
We drove there in an electric car and to our surprise and dismay there was no charging facilities available at or the hotel.
The front desk clerk during the evening was terrific! I think her last name was Martinez A keeper. The est of the staff was clearly not up to standards.
The rooms were from the 80's, maybe early 90's. Horrible decor and facilities. I mean plastic window shades? Come on Hilton. Disgraceful. This was not up to any standard and especially for the price paid. The property is so aged and outdated it was depressing. The room included "breakfast", which really was only one selection from the a la cart menu. Everything else was extra cost. . The first day they "forgot" to put in the order and after waiting 45 minutes for an egg they made the excuse that "sorry, your order went to the back of the line". There were 3 tables only! Come on. This place is a teardown.
Overall very comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable and most of washroom was up to standards
Facilities and some room items are showing their age and need for renovation. Bed headboard was in very poor tattered condition which should have been replaced long ago. Toilet in washroom is very low and should have been replaced with a more normal height seat. Outside noises from road are not being handled well.
Muy amables y nos dieron Late check out
Es un edificio antiguo. La primera habitación que nos dieron era muy viejo todo. Pedimos cambio y nos dieron una reformada.
