Quality Inn & Suites Grinnell near University

Parking was good. staff was nice I only seen one person working. rooms were not clean... dust, the comforter had rips all over it. mold in the shower curtain. smelled like smoke. the pillows were 5 star! beds are hard. i didnt check out the breakfast. was a cheap stay...

This was the most comfortable and quiet place I have stayed in a long time.

Worst attention ever for a customer

Rundown.

Mediocre hotel. Hot damp rooms, spicy odor in hallways. Had to change rooms at 1am to get into one with working AC so we could sleep.

The girl who is the only employee working in the motel hasn't been professionally trained to serve in the hospitality business of US. It is very much like a family business. Breakfast is underserved as the girl busy talking on the phone in the lobby. We have to push her to refill the egg and sausages. There is an unpleasant carpet smell in the room. Housekeeper isn't supposed to enter our room when we weren't there during daytime, but they did.

At 8am the staff vacumn the hallways and ran the vacuum into our door

Room was musty smelling and a/c is leaking so the floor was wet.

Good spot to sleep for the night, a bit noisy though sounded like and air compressor running at times during the night

Hard to find the staff when we needed help. Phone, TV didn't work. But it was clean and inexpensive and we could bring our dog

Everything was good except there is no elevators if you have a room on the second floor

Clean rooms. Coffee, micro, tv and fridge in room. , free breakfast, let us park our mc's under the carport. You could tell the owners take pride in their hotel.

Not the best hotel, smelt kinda funny and the staff was never around, there are a few other options further down the road

It was a great place to stay after a hot day of driving with No a/c. It was nothing special and seemed a little old and worn. It was great for what we needed (air conditioned room, a shower, and a bed). Definitely not a terrible place, but nothing particularly special either.
