Great stay
Beds were extremely comfortable.
Great place to stay if you’re going on a cruise out of Galveston TX
Breakfast not so good
Upon arrival we had issues getting through parking gate. You have to go through a gate barrier arm at entry point. We waited and no response from reception where trying to buzz in to park. Physically called into receptionist at from desk via phone and we got a gentleman that was extremely short and rude trying to place us on hold. He wouldn't allow us into park until her verified reservation name and stay. Once we finally got parked and checked in, gentleman's name was Travis. He was extremely short and rude at check-in, gave us little information and seemed like he hated his job. I mentioned this to staff next morning where she said they've gotten several complaints of same issue.
Got into room with myself, husband, and our older daughter and 11yo son. Room had a frosted glass wall between room and bathroom that you could see shadows and outlines as we were in the bathroom. It definitely wasn't meant to share with others if you don't want them seeing you dress. Heads up!
We decided to leave our vehicle in their parking lot #2 during our cruise and hotel clerk said she would charge our room the cost of parking. She charged us $129. When we returned from cruise, the gate wouldn’t open so we had to call the company and they said they were never paid. We had to pay twice for the parking. Hotel is running a shady business for sure.
Wonderful stay for a pre cruise stay. Friendly staff, nice rooms and in walking distance to many places.
I did not have the breakfast, but it was very quiet and very attentive
Beautiful hotel right on the pier, walking distance to old town Galveston and plenty of dining options. Front desk staff was awesome!
Love staying here! Close to restaurants and shopping always clean and friendly staff!
Clean rooms, great staff, lots to do nearby, and a nice breakfast are things we look forward to every time we stay.
Room was lovely and large.
Room was very nice and comfortable. Travis at the front desk was very helpful.
Clean rooms people was very nice convenience to port
Great, clean, comfortable place. It had lots of neat character and a nice parking lot. Alot of amazing restaurants within walking distance. Just a block from the strand, so very convenient. The hotel also has a nice sitting area that borders a sidewalk that leads over to Katies seafood. On the other side, just across a beautiful courtyard area. Is Willie Gs steakhouse. Overall...we loved our little gettaway, and will definitely be back to stay again.
The only bad thing is that they charge $20 for early check in. I did not check in early. Otherwise place is close to The Stand (historic center of Galveston), check in was easy and the room is large and clean.
I booked this for my stepdad for convenience to the cruise ship. He said it was perfect and was easy to get to the cruise ship on the day of departure.
Nice property updated
The rooms were so large that the furniture seemed awkward in the rooms.
