Lovely, cosy hotel with excellent service, in a nice residential area close to the central streets. The hotel restaurants serves delicious food and on a sunny day you can enjoy your drinks and meal on a terrace.
Lovely hotel, one of our favourites, staff and food is fab, rooms are small and the bar area is small , it's more like a boutique intimate hotel but it's in a great location and again staff are lovely.
Missing parking ! they have a few spaces 20 a night .
A truly exceptional stay at The Dylan Dublin. From the moment we arrived, the service felt personal, warm, and effortlessly refined. The property itself is stunning—elegant design paired with a sense of history that makes it feel both luxurious and intimate.
A special thank you to Patrick Sheehan, who took the time to share the rich history of the hotel with us. His passion and knowledge added a meaningful layer to our experience that we won’t forget.
We are also incredibly grateful to General Manager Conor Dillon for his outstanding hospitality. His attention to detail and genuine care for guests truly set the tone for the entire stay.
Without question, a five-star experience in every sense, we look forward to returning.
Really nice hotel, excellent staff all round from felt desk to breakfast staff.
Room was a little cramped, we moved the table and chairs over to the window which fixed the problem ,
There was a carton of half uswdapouled milk in th fridge so housekeeping could do with a little work but otherwise room was lovely!
Breakfast was a bit of a let down extremely dry to the point of being inedible but again the staff were excellent so I don’t want to be too harsh!
I would definetly return in the hope the few small problems would be resolved
The Dylan is a quiet quaint hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the breakfast each day we were there. Parking is only on the street so this is a hotel that might be better without an automobile. The advantage of this hotel is the peaceful atmosphere and the nice sitting areas. The service was top notch. We had a lovely dinner at the restaurant.
Staff are lovely, the decor delightful.
Bed was spectacularly comfortable.
The cost. It's not worth how much they're charging.
And the extra cost on top of the nightly rate to have the dog was obscene compared to other "luxury" hotels.
And they charge you 25€/ night to park the car on their premises.
There's just not that much to the Dylan ~ no spa or workout space.
There is a bar / restaurant but it is fiercely quiet like a library.
And when you're paying that much, when something small malfunctions like the bathroom sink in this case had no water, you resent the inflated cost when you can't even wash your hands with warm water in the bathroom sink.
5 star hotel, 5 star service and 5 star rooms. Beautiful boutique hotel waking distance to the Aviva. Fab breakfast as well. Highly highly recommended.
Location and cleanliness
Room 104 Bathtub/shower was a bit small and water leaked onto floor
Staff was fantastic. Room was quiet, well decorated, and spacious. The mattress was the most comfortable we have ever slept on. Breakfast was plentiful and perfectly prepared. Even the toilets on the ground floor were creatively decorated.
The property was a little further from the city core than we had hoped, but still within walking distance of.
Not a luxury hotel — and not even close.
We were given a defective room with broken air conditioning, clearly known by the hotel (curtains drawn, window left open to compensate). The noise made it impossible to sleep. Room should have not be in service. Period. It’s not about upgrades even, just don’t sell defective rooms and give them to top tier members.
We asked for a manager — no one came. Only a junior staff member with no authority. We were promised follow-up and compensation. But after checking out -
No reply. No acknowledgment. Nothing.
Even after emailing the manager directly — still ignored.
Other issues: noisy room despite our preferences, tiny room with cramped fueniture, poor bathroom setup (no space for toiletries), basic breakfast, and lack of professionalism at check-in.
We are Hilton Diamond members and regret choosing this over the Conrad.
This property should not be marketed as luxury. Avoid. SLH and Hilton should supervise closer.
Located in a lovely quiet street. Our room had a lovely wee balcony overlooking the quiet street behind the hotel. There was a lovely welcome plate of treats awaiting us in our room. There is also a stacked mini bar and food hamper which you can choose from for a listed cost. If you have a car there is also a valet service, just park outside the entrance and staff will come out to you. There are limited car spaces but there is street parking nearby too.
Our room was spacious, really well appointed and had interesting artwork and decor. The bed was very comfortable! We didn't eat at the restaurant but there are many lovely pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were all very pleasant and accommodating.
