This is a very prestigious hotel in Lebanon. My room had spectacular views of Beirut and the water and I watched the sunset from my room every night. The hotel is iconic, the staff and service were impeccable. The Spa and Gym are newly built and very convenient.

This was our honeymoon stay directly after our wedding. We booked a suite for 2 nights to celebrate. We had requested honeymoon ammenities and the hotel confirmed it. We reached and room was dull and empty. Half our luggage was in the room and the other half was still in the luggage room. The second day we tried to go to the SPA and they told us in was fully booked, we saw no one in the treatment rooms and we later saw the staff all gathered at the spa lobby, not busy at all, which made us doubt if they were really fully booked. The cherry on top was that while at the spa pool, i called to ask a champagne glass to celebrate my wedding and the phone operator was not cooperative at all. It really felt like none of the staff wanted to do the necessary to give us a memorable stay at a hotel we used to take pride in. So sad!

Pros:

SPA is great, although they need a hotter jacuzzi. Views are great. Rooms are dated, carpet is super old. Lights by windows in building don’t go off at night and curtains are translucid so room doesn’t get dark at night which affects sleep.
