Nice room and very clean
If you're a light sleeper our room was at the back so backed on to a noisy pub street.
Didn't bother us but just to be aware.
The location was amazing. It was convenient to have the restaurant and breakfast facilities onsight for our weary bodies. The staff and management was fairly responsive to the issues that arose. We enjoyed maid service and the clean fluffy towels. We lived the tea kettle and the instant hot water in the faucets.
There were a number of broken or stained items in the room. Although management did fix the drain and supplied us with a space heater. We also figured out that if we put towels on the window sill be could block the unusal.and ferocious wind that blew through the widow panes. But the one thing the hotel cannot control is the VERY, VERY loud drunken merrymakers who start singing and yellowing around midnight and don't stop until about 3:30am. Perhaps the windows on the street side should be made into double paned more sound proof. We assume the merriment is louder and more frequent in the summer months. We liked our room, though a tad bit small, we had a very hard time sleeping between midnight and 3:30am. And event the heaviest sleepers in the room, they sleep through earthquakes, were awakened.
Also, it would be great if the hotel staff knew where the markets ( M & S) were located, where other pubs, and restaurants were when Molly's is closed ( Old Blackfriars or Wagamama), and where one can grab breakfast, 5 one wakes up too late to catch the breakfast at the hotel, ( Grounded).
Great place to stay
Everything ok
All ok
Buon albergo ma staff poco disponibile
Molly's bar is fantastic and staff are friendly and welcoming
The smell of the room made my wife feel unwell. The window blind wouldn't move. No natural light and window was frosted glass without any view of anything. One of the lights would go on and was sticky to touch. Shower was hard to turn on like the control knob hadn't been used in a while so we avoided having a shower. Banging noises through the wall like boilers and pipes making noises. Decor is dated and dust in the corners of the carpet. Room was depressing tbh.
