We had a beautiful and surprisingly large room with lovely amenities. The hotel staff was welcoming and knowledgeable
Jada and the other male employee on Monday, May 25th were very welcoming. Both were very kind and helpful during check in.
Beautiful room, beautiful hotel, staff was very friendly and kind. And hotel was a great bargain for the experience. Always prefer to stay at a gem instead of a cookie cutter and this was indeed a gem! Highly recommend.
Central location in downtown within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. Wonderful room at an excellent price. We'll gladly stay here again.
Room was a nice size everything was clean and a great open view
The Mark Spencer was a fabulous find for the one night I had to spend in downtown Portland. It was the last night of an intense trip for me to Oregon, and I could not have landed among kinder people to help soothe my frayed nerves! The front desk staff members Timmie, Brent and Jada were so sweet and helpful, aiding me with parking, choosing a restaurant, holding my suitcases for several hours after check-out time so that I could explore longer, and even after I carelessly took off for the airport without my bag! The room was beautifully appointed and comfortable, and there is coffee available downstairs in the morning. It’s a lovely hotel for a very reasonable price!
I appreciate how easy they make it for us to pull up and temporarily park the car so we can take all our luggage in and not drag it from the parking lot -- which is across the street. There is a 15 minute load slot right in front.
Check in experience with Alex was great. He found my reservation, I was looking for the ladies room and was given a temporary card. The Japanese toilets have heated seats FYI. I also happen to walk in around 5 o'clock which turns out to be the magic hour there.
From 5 to 6 every evening they serve wine, including Bubbles!... complementary. Did you hear that it's an open bar for an hour for any guest. Yes. And the bartender Rory is fantastic. very helpful and personable. There are also coupons for free appetizers to a couple of places nearby including the crawfish place right behind the hotel as well as another place with rooftop bar just down the street. Unexpectedly gracious defined this place is a watering hole just when you need it.
Appreciated the comfortable seats in the lobby areas that permitted us to catch a beat, take a breath, sip some vino
Jada was the consummate professional -- warm and welcoming -- great at connecting and attentive. She made sure my bags were tucked away while I went back and parked my car. I had my keys she explained a couple things including noting my curiosity about the coffee sitting on the counter. Turns out it is roasted in house. I repeat the coffee is roasted in-house by the owners and sometimes you can smell it roasting she says. Coffee and tea available 24 seven. But it's really good coffee.
My room with a king bed was comfortable and very quiet, thankfully. Had a spacious desk with a comfortable chair so I could get some work done. As well as a microwave. Everything was very clean and felt spacious.
It's a 1907 building with six floors in about 110 rooms including a workout room and a laundry room for guests on the lowest floor. There are a lot of conveniences and look for the ADA entrance if you need it.
We have stayed here many times. We love the hotel. It's comfortable, convenient, and clean with friendly staff. We will continue to stay here when we visit Portland.
Super friendly front desk agents - they gave me chocolates and wine for my birthday! Room upgrade was huge and amazing, great views, super comfy bed, nice couch to watch tv. Great location, I wandered to Powell’s in the morning.
That I had to leave!
Great, comfortable and superb location. Loved that they have parking underneath the building
Spacious and stylish room with good view of the city. Walking distance to restaurants, bars and to everything downtown. Coupon to our favorite seafood place was a bonus!
Nothing.
