Pros:

The location is excellent for my taste, as it is right in front of the beach and you can ride a bike around the entire area and really enjoy the vibe.

Cons:

* The rooms do not have good soundproofing or insulation from outside noise.
* The bathroom has no sound insulation from the bedroom and offers no privacy at all.
* The room is not as spacious as it should be.
* The restaurant and bar do not meet the standards of a 5-star hotel.

I have stayed at both hotels of the group, which are next to each other, and they both have the same issues.

Eines der besten Hotels in super Lage.
Pros:

Top Lage des Hotels im Ralph Lauren Style. Die Ruhe und Gelassenheit im Hotel ist hervorragend. ALLE Mitarbeiter sind super freundlich, selbst die Hausmeister grüßen auf der Straße. Mega Wasserdruck in der Dusche wie ich ihn noch nie in einem Hotel gesehen habe. Ein tolles Hotel mit einzigartigem Flair. Ich würde immer wieder dort übernachten. Damit wird der Urlaub in LA/ Santa Monica zum Erlebnis.

Cons:

Preis ist schon heftig aber es ist halt eines der besten Hotels in Santa Monica. Das Badezimmer inkl. der Toilette ist leider extrem hellhörig, schade bei solch einem Hotel!

Pros:

The staff were superb, very accommodating and helpful. Use of the town car was next level!

Cons:

Truth - the area was a little scary in the evenings - there are a lot of homeless.

Shutters on the beach
Pros:

Excellent customer service. The staff was very friendly, and very attentive to details. I let them know it was my birthday and the had a beautiful slice of cake sent up with a glass of champagne. The hotel was was perfect very quaint and the view from my room was amazing. The room looked out to the beach. The food was yummy also. I was able to walk to the pier and you could also walk along the beach.

Cons:

Everything was perfect for me.

Beautiful hotel on the beach!
Pros:

This is a beautiful hotel on the beach. Great location. Short walking distance to downtown Santa Monica. Great amenities- we used the bikes to ride to Venice and around the canals. Service is top notch at this hotel! The lobby is also beautiful. Coffee in the morning and nice music in the evening. We visited for our daughter's birthday and they surprised her with a slice of b-day cake and a card! So thoughtful! I strongly recommend getting the package that includes breakfast. You can also have breakfast at their sister hotel Casa Del Mar. Whenever we visit our daughter in LA, Shutters on the Beach or Casa Del Mar are my favorite places to stay.

Beautiful place to stay with direct access to the beach
Pros:

the comforts of the room were impeccable. products in the room top notch. the small balcony with shutters was a great in-room amenity.

Cons:

the wing of the hotel was only reachable by taking two banks of elevators. the lobby lounge was not full on the evening I sat down there, but service was non-existent except at a few tables by the standing bar. I went into the restaurant bar and that was very good service.

Quiet Luxury
Pros:

Shutters is quiet luxury with an amazing team that genuinely seems happy to be there. The events marketing team is wonderful - Li-ling, Maddie, Saule make planning a wedding easy and happy. Great apparel choices in the gift shop and Leila makes it so fun. Great food and drinks and magical setting.

Such a Special and Iconic Hotel
Pros:

Stayed hear 2 nights before heading to Japan. Great experience with very hospitable staff. Loved sun bathing on the pool deck overlooking the beach near Santa Monica pier. There is bar and restaurant service on the pool deck. Also coast is a great restaurant…we ate breakfast there twice and loved it. They also have a very nice gym. Best thing about the Hotel is its location.

Incredible hotel and hospitality.
Pros:

Fantastic hotel. Refined accommodations with great amenities. Right on the beach. The hospitality and customer service here is incredible. I’m a very light sleeper and Akeem helped me with a room change that was above and beyond expectation. Here for a business event, but feels like a vacation.
